Can you make a list of the music tracks provided by the Music Addon? It doesn't feel right to not know which tracks they precisely are.

You can find a full list of the tracks in the mod description.

I noticed there's something funky going on with the CE Infinite Addon with regards to the mod-appendix and img folders

first of all, there's no mod-appendix folder directly next to the data and img folders, which makes the description not appear

then there's an old mod-appendix folder in img for some reason. it's old because the metadata.xml file inside has hardly any description. so then where is the actual metadata.xml file? this I'm not sure of. I thought it was in the previous reason but that's not true, so maybe it's in an older version? all I know is it's somewhere as I have found the actual file

then there's some more shenanigans going on in the img folder: all the folders inside except upgradeUI are useless, being either empty or being the old mod-appendix folder

TL;DR look inside CE Infinite addon and get rid of unnecessary folders and find the right metadata.xml file....

I noticed that there are a bunch of files inside data in numerous addons ending in .append~. I'm assuming these are backup files but in some cases (like Endless Loot for CE Infinite) it doubles the file size. probably nothing to care about since some files are way bigger, but just thought that should be pointed out (if it hasn't already)

Wew. It's been a long time since I last posted here.

Not sure if it's been fixed (it was just before this current patch) but I was doing a run with Kestrel B and I was trying to jump to a specific beacon and the game kept crashing. I have a recording of it (still uploading) but I wasn't able to back up the save so you could replicate it, unfortunately.

As an aside, I started a Let's Play of Captain's Edition. The first run with Kestrel A is up and the rest of the run will be up in the following days.

Code: Select all

@ CE Additional Music Addon 1.301.ftl:
  ------------------------------------
! An error occurred. See log for details.

FTL itself can tolerate lots of XML typos and still run. But malformed XML may break tools that do proper parsing, and it hinders the development of new tools.

Since v1.2, Slipstream will try to parse XML while patching: first strictly, then failing over to a sloppy parser. The sloppy parser will tolerate similar errors, at the risk of unforseen behavior, so satisfying the strict parser is advised.
I just saw this when I started my Slipstream. It might cause errors or...?

EDIT: My bad. I checked the file details and in the file size alone it's corrupted. Re-downloading now.

Ok let me know if that fixes itself, otherwise I'll look into it.

I was just thinking that there could be a few more bits of flavour to rebel ships when they attack.
I just saw the event where they're like "We'll get promoted for sure!" before they attack... but why stop there? Why not add some retirony to the mix?

The Rebel Captain is old and grizzled but when he sees your ship he shouted "I may be only 3 days from retirement but your death will surely be great for my pension plan! Attack!"

During surrender, the messages could also be stuff like:
An old grizzled Captain says "I'm getting too old for this crap. Let us go and we'll let bygones be bygones!"
Or "I'm retiring the next day. Please let me return to my family"

Or of course for any sort of surrender (not just Rebels):
After accepting their surrender, the ship Captain says over the comms "It's my first day!" He adds a series of ones and zeros for the Engies' benefit, followed by the coarse Rock dialect. He then just says "Click click click."
