I've been playing the game for several weeks now, and it is incredibly addictive! I just beat the final boss while on Easy, in an Engi cruiser, type A. FEAR MY IONS!

I just decided to look for FTL forums, and I noticed a lot of strategy guides talking about pausing the game to perform actions. I had no idea you could pause the game and change systems and aim points! No wonder beating the game on Easy seemed so difficult.

Welcome to the FTL forum! Playing the game without pause is considered to be the "hard" mode. Congratulations on beating Easy this way! Who knows? Maybe you'll become one of the few who can beat Normal without pausing?

Haha! Thanks guys. Yeah, I started playing on Normal first (again, without pause!), but I think I only got to the final battle once. One thing I wish the game had was Steam Cloud support: I have different stuff unlocked on my desktop and laptop.

I plan to keep playing without pause though. I think it's more fun! It'd be neat if there was an achievement for it. They could call it "BRB, Bathroom"
