This is one of my first LP's where I get really caught up in the game, but who knows if that's good or bad. Anyways, I'll be putting out around 30 minute parts of FTL in HD every once in awhile, so please take the time to look at a little of my first video and seeing if you like it or not. Any suggestions are welcome as I would love to improve my content in any way possible.

Just watched a little bit of your adventure in the Torus. In the early part you didn't pay much attention to what your crew was doing. It would have been wise to send someone to man the weapons and shields to get faster recharge out of both. Engi also make pretty good pilots because they can repair the cockpits in seconds.

You also discounted the Ion Blast MkII early on, it's an incredibly powerfull weapon. It fires very quickly as you saw and it can knock out systems that the enemy cannot repair. They just have to sit and do nothing while the system is ioned. Another plus is that you never really have to target shields because ion shots will hit the shields and automatically disable them, so against the early opposition you can pretty much target their weapons or drone control depending on which presents a greater threat.

In your future attempts try sending the hunam to weapons and give the helm and shields to engi. Spend your early scrap on engine upgrades to give yourself a chance to dodge or flee and then save up for an extra shield. When fleeing, it's a good idea to send your gunner to the engine room, until you get a dedicated engineer.

Best of luck in the future, the Torus is a tough ship to succed with but it's far from a weakling.

Episode 4, where I do equally as bad as all my other runs is out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXDIeTbslA8

Also, I swear my play will be better around episode 5, where I actually figure out how most things work.

I watched your first episode, it reminded me so much of my first time playing FTL. I'm not sure if you intended it to be amusing(maybe that was because I could relate to it so much...) but I enjoyed it and will have to check out the rest now.

My main concern is you have a lack of pace in your voice - pick it up, keep me interested! Make me think you're enjoying the game. I'd try and moan about how you're playing but if once I've caught up with your videos I think you're missing something, I'll be sure to say something ;)
