I saw a question like this except with different ships, but I thought I'd make a thread about weapons.

Personally, my favorite weapons are hull lasers, because they fire enough shots in a short amount of time to make it worth it. A hull laser 1 + hull laser 2 + any non beam/bomb weapon is pretty powerful.

What weapons do you guys like?

Ion Blast MKII, simply because it makes any other beam/laser weapon paired with it MUCH more potent

I really like the burst laser mk III. i know it takes 4 power and has a long recharge time, but only taking up one weapon slot is a huge help, especially on ships like the engi or stealth ship that only have three weapon slots. 5 shots in a row coming from one weapon is amazing, and can take down all shields. More weapons i like are the crystal weapons. Yes, they can be shot down by any kind of defense drone and they have a longer recharge time than most standard weapons, but all crystal weapons can pierce one layer o shields!!!!

I recently had a run with dual Burst laser Mk III. Pretty powerful, but unfortunately I did not have enough defense to survive the last boss

Overall I like Breech Bomb MK II a lot, Fire Bomb a close second. Makes boarding fun, and makes disabling systems easy.

But it is hard to have a favorite really, so many interesting weapons. Glaive Beam do good things as well.

Ion blast two, seriously nice, I comboed it with the Weaponanza mod weapons and it just helped a lot.

I wonder what an Ion Blast three would be like? Fire beam, for me. Not the most potent or destructive, but I really enjoy lighting enemy ships on fire. Throw some ions or burst-laser in for flavor, and let's fire up the barbecue!

Yeah, fire weapons are the most fun, especially in compare to effective, but very very boring lasers.

BL2 (sweet spot between # of shots and power consumption), followed by fire bomb (useful from the start against even shielded ships) and hull laser (if I can't get burst lasers, I'll probably be able to pick up a couple of hull lasers, and they're nice for finishing off the flagship once its weapons are down).
