Got to the final boss not having more than one chance to buy any weapons all game so all I had was a burst laser and glaive beam (was using stealth ship B). POS! Died on stage 2 ofc. So annoyed about this game wasting my time.

You can beat the boss with a burst laser and a glaive beam. I've had times where I'm only able to pierce 4 layers of shields using missiles, so I can't even damage the drone phase.
