A while back I got the 'pacifism run' achievement . . . and then just kept the run going.

I managed to make it all the way to the flagship on normal difficulty without firing at or destroying a single enemy ship.

Oh... yeah... I forgot that dual lasers and other smaller weapons won't get the message through the Flagship's thick skull.

And it might have worked if you had Captain's Edition where there is such an option with the Zoltan Shield. Although you'd need maxed-out basic systems.
