This just happened and i registered just to share it. It probably won't happen to anybody ever.

Just one shot. I just needed one of the basic lasers to connect.

Blam. Defense drone forgot ONE shot and it managed to connect.

Not to mention i had been able to get out of another extremely close call in sector 5.

RNG gods, why have you forsaken me??

It was a very entertaining and intense run though, the boss fight was the worst struggle i've ever had where i was able to consistently dish out damage purely based on weak weapons.

you guys ever had similar stuff happen to you?

Talk about bad luck. Couldn't even get a mutual destruction of each other.

There's your problem. You're relying on a defense drone to do it's job properly. Don't you know that the Defense Drone Union mandates that all Defense Drones use their face to block incoming laser and missile strikes.

Don't forget preferring to shoot at anything except boarder drones or missiles.

I should probably have gotten some Cloaking but i never found any arghh

I realize i could have won by sending the two remaining mantises into a suicide mission. Just by rushing them to the enemy teleporter i could've taken away that last HP before the shots connected, i mean, i had the two mantises standing in the pilot room like half of the fight!

Yup that's also in the regulations. Shoot the asteroid that'll ping off your shield or a false flak projectile.

Or shoot down that Leto missile that dodged your ship but ignore the Breach Missile into 02...

Back before AE came out, I could never defeat the Flagship with the Federation cruisers. Cloaking is just so vital in having a chance to defeat the Flagship and the Federation Cruisers could never get it, only having crappy artillery in return :(

But if you used those Mantis to blow up the last room, then they will not turn up in the credits (They will if you have a Clone Bay though).

I imagine, however, if just a single stray shot hit from any fight hit the flagship, the federation would win the war, so you logically won.

The trouble is that the Federation has to hit them and the Rebel Fleet probably wouldn't make it easy for the bigger ships or smaller craft to make it through.
Also, 1HP is deceptive. Just ask any Dark Souls player. "Shouldn't be too hard to kill Ornstein. He's only got 1HP left..."
