Suggestion: Action Stations

Have a button next to each crew member that sets his current room to his "Action Station"
Then have a button that sends everyone to their assigned action station.

I like this. Always tie it into the keyboard, same with open/close all doors. This would be nice.

Excellent idea. It's tedious scrolling over everyones' skill lists trying to remember who's the gunner and who's responsible for the engines.

As an addition to this idea, also set an operator for that station that gets priority over anyone else for manning the station. I like to keep spare engis in important systems, but when my gunner has to run away to heal, I always have to shuffle my crew around so he gets back on the controls.

Came here to suggest this as well.
After a fight, when everyone is done putting out fires and repairing, there should be a "return to posts" button where everyone walks back to their (assignable) posts.

Got another idea - crewmemebr that spend time in a subsystem room get partial EXP.Basicly your chief engineer will get full X and that engi that's you always keep with him is basicly his asistant. so he gets some EXP too.
Meaning when you loose your weapons guy or your engineer, you have someoen with SOME knowledge left.

I like this!
Perhaps take a bit of XP gain away from the one on the console, in trade. Eg, he has to spend some of his time training the other guy, so he's not focusing entirely.

I'd like that.
But so that it's not too powerful, I'd say:
xp is divided by the number of people + 1,
each person in the room gains 1 part, the one manning the console gets 2.
That way, the same overall amount of xp is given to your crew, but just divided.
