I would be interested in seeing comparative statistics from the same player between Classic Hard mode and AE Hard mode. I think especially with Hacking, the player has got access to a very powerful tool that the AI hardly ever uses in a threatening way.

So is the harder mode FTL Classic on Hard?

I've done it a few times. It's a lot easier than AE. Teleporting is back to being OP and your weapons and shops aren't as diluted with chaff

Thanks for sharing - I think after I've played through AE, I may give Classic a try again. Maybe AE only seems harder because it's still fairly new compared to Classic, and I think I still improve a little in AE.
