Replacing Engi Ship Type A.
Stock weapons: Breach Bomb 2 + Burst Laser 2

(heavy laser 2 is only on sshot)

This link is for my first test custom ship, it's a bit OP and BIG, it's replacing Engi Type B. You can download it as well.

I guess if there was one OP ship that made sense, it would be a Desert Eagle one.
Mod looks pretty nice but the ship doesn't seem challenging at all, and the rooms cover the image, which kinda sucks. Not a bad 1st effort though. :)

I wanted to make it a bit more OP with only missiles (bullets), but if I put only missiles, there are two problems that encounter:
1st: Requires a lot missiles;
2nd: If you encounter drone ship, defensive drones will take out missiles, and you will not be able to penetrate.
In that case you can only wait to JUMP away (if you have fuel).
So I change it to 1 laser and 1 missile weapon.

Yep, there's lots to consider when choosing and balancing weapons. The BL2 is a superb weapon though. So good you don't need missiles at all until later sectors. I'd even sell the Breach at the first shop.

Artemis + BL1 is a much more balanced combo, and it would actually require the missile weapon to be used. Ofc, it doesn't scream Desert Eagle anymore either ;)

Maybe if you limit the weapon slots to 2, it would become a much different ship. Near invincible early on, but later you'd be in trouble without enough firepower and support weapons. And no teleport or drones means you would need 2 VERY handsome weapons to win.

Here's one more suggestion. Instead of a missile, create a bomb weapon similar to the breach missile. Bombs are unstoppable by defense drones. Only a suggestion though.

Thanks for suggestions, I'll probably change/do something about it.
BTW:Weapon slots are already limited for 2 weapons.
