Is progress saved in Steam?

Is the save file transferred to Steam cloud?
My PC is infected by malware and had to be formatted, and I had to start playing FTL on my old PC
Question is, does Steam save my progress when I get my PC back and play it on there?

Nope, no steam cloud. There are some technical difficulties that prevent that. The devs are hoping to fix that eventually.
Supposedly there is a way to transfer the save easy via dropbox or something to simulate a cloud save.
