Hello forum. This is my first mod, the Zoltan Kestrel!
I made it because my favorite race are zoltans.
This ship replaces the Noether (Zoltan B).

Equipments:
Every system except drones and teleporter
2 ion blasters
System bomb (a bomb that does 5 system damage and no hull damage)
Vindicator beam (slightly altered)
Zoltan shield
Weapon pre-igniter

BUT! It also comes with a little twist. You can't have a layer of shield! Also, the vindicator beam can only pierce 1 layer of shields, so you must get the down first!

Haven't tried the ship yet, but the lighting on the left (top) side of the ship is somewhat inconsistent.

I'm looking forward to playing the ship though

As written on the to do list, i am soon going to shade it better (hopefully).
Also, please tell me if it's over/under-powered.

At first i was worried this would be one of those ships that the person has just changed the crew to zoltans and made it OP, but i am impressed it looks sweet it has zoltan parts even though it doesn't fit in with the rest of their fleet it looks cool and isn't OP but instead quite challenging, I'll give it a shot.

I actually had an idea (and was slowly working on) replacing ships with a replica version made of different parts of different factions. (Fist one was going to be a Engi Mantis because who doesn't like Engi boarders? )

Is it me or every original idea I get, someone finishes there similar/ exact one moments later?

Anyway yea, I feared it was one of those OP ships as usual. Well done.

Even though i am going to nerf the beam a bit, i think it is pretty balanced. While playing the mod, i realized that it is pretty powerful with a hull laser. But then i got into a fight with a ship with a laserdrone. I bombed the weapons instead of the drone control, and i nearly got killed by my poor decision. I hope you like the mod.

I must say this ship looks very nice. I am also a fan of the Zoltan, and I think you did a great job mixing in the look of the Kestrel with the style of the Zoltan cruisers.

Though, don't you think it is a little overpowered with the cloaking, artillery, weapons and pre-igniter? I would at least scratch the pre-igniter and cloaking. However, that's just my personal opinion. Again, it looks fantastic.
