We are the biggest fans of FTL game. We love this game. And we making our game now. It will use FTL's game mechanics and similar interface, but we add some of our visions, something will be changed. We will make our story, our races, our ships and items. It will not be better than FTL, it will be different.

Are you allowing us to do this?

Well, I hope they do. But you shouldn't assume that they do allow it if they do not say so, that's totally wrong. Assume that they do not/await conformation if they don't say anything.

I believe you only need to ask if you use their assets, parts of code, or things from the ftlverse.

I think you should ask them in a more profecional way, not on the forums, i would send an email to the official ftl adress
