Just how badly mauled can you get and still win a battle?
This is my entry. Only 1 crew left, and he'd just repaired the O2 when it was at 9%, then rushed back to repair the medbay as the guns fired to destroy the enemy with just 1 hull remaining. It was an epic battle, but of course, I couldnt find a store and died 2 jumps later :(

But I bet that fight was the best you have ever had. ;)

Jury's still out on whether I'm going to survive this one.

Better pull that pilot out into the engines room and delay those boarders. if they break one point on the engine you die!
Oh crap, I didn't spot the drone room fire. it is already killing you. I don't think you can prevent it :p

The boarder was a drone who was deactivated. No danger there. Unfortunately, I didn't understand quite how fires worked and I didn't realize my ship was in danger of actually blowing up. I now understand. The hard way.

For others that haven't learned it yet:
In that screenshot you can see the fire icon over the drone rooms power. it has also almost turned a bar completely red (kind of how repairing a crossed out bar makes it turn yellow).
Boarders do the same thing but they stop attacking systems if you bring a crew member into the room. the fire keeps destroying even if you got someone trying to put it out.
For every bar lost to boarders or fire this way you lose a point on the hull.

Unfortunately, I've learnt a lot about the FTL game mechanics using the patented 'Why-the-hell-is-my-ship-still-exploding!?' method
