Defeated an enemy ship by Asphyxiation

This was really fun, you even get an achievement for it. Don't read if you want to figure this out for yourself
I used a boarding crew of a mantis and a human against a slug controlled ship. They disabled my main weapons, leaving me with only 2 bars of bar available. My ion burst and burst laser were offline, my healing burst was working. These slugs are pretty smart, they fought my boarding party in rotations and went to heal when they got too injured. I kept attacking the same room until the system went offline. Use healing burst to keep my boarding party healed up. Eventually, I had taken out the cockpit, weapons room, and oxygen room and engines, all that was left was the med bay and shields.
While I was taking out the shields, I noticed my guys were asphyxiating, so I teleported back home and waited for the slugs to die from no oxygen. It never happened though. They were all hiding in the medbay because of low HP and the healing was counteracting the asphyxiation damage. So I teleported my guys into the medbay where I easily defeated them since they didn't have the healing effect anymore. But I almost lost them too. See the teleporter takes longer to charge up than it takes them to die from asphyxiation, so I had to send another healing burst before I could retrieve them.
It was a fun little encounter that I wanted to share with everyone.
This game is awesome!
