What type of the sector is the first one?

Civilian? I mean what can I find in there? I'm asking mainly because I'm trying to get the crystal cruiser. Is it possible to get the stasis pod there?

The 1st sector is Civilian. IIRC, and i'm sure someone will correct me, but you can get the 1st part of the quest in Civilian, Engi and Rock sectors.
Civ sectors have fewer hostile ships, more stores and fairly safe rewards and quests.

1st part can be obtained in pirate/engi/rock, so if the 1st one is civilian, I won't find the stasis pod there.
Anyway, I've finished the quest yesterday

First sector is a modified Civilian sector; very similar but a tad different.
