why not save the shipstate after a bossfight for Multiplayer

Hello,
i would like to present this simple idee for FTL
Save the Shipstaate after the Bossfight for Multiplayer purposes.
Every Player needs a ship that managed to killed the boss and this ship can fight a other ship that did the same.
If the Ship gets destroyed its done. Savegames could be serverbased to prevent cheating. Than make a Topscore list..
