If i defeat the first or 2nd version of the end boss with crew aboard the mothership do my crew beam back, and what happens if i defeat the final phase with all my crew on board it and it blows up?


I just reached the end boss with a ship set up that they couldnt damage me on phase one, but after i ran out of missiles(1 missile weapon) i couldn't hurt them either. 7 hour game too, bummer.

The rebels have access to advanced on board computer AI technology as demonstrated by their automated scouts.

You don't automatically win by killing off the crew

If it detects that all its crew is dead the AI takes over and any advantage you have gotten by killing their crew is undone... I think the AI is even harder to deal with then a full crew since it can repair any and every room at the same time and doesn't need to go to the medbay to heal.

Killing off the crew isn't the only way to win with boarders. Each system you damage causes one hull damage. So it should be entirely possible to defeat the boss that way.

I've never actually tried it, so I don't know what happens if you do.

Btw finished the game now, another 6 hour game, 50 hrs in total

I tried it with the first mantis ship, in the end i gave up, they couldnt hurt me (defense 2 drones * 2, 4 shields, 8 engines, cloak), but i couldnt break their shield long enough to break the med bay so my boarders could be effective, that is ofcourse after i ran out of missiles to teleport in.
