Did you know...

When a cloaked ship jumps away, it momentarily decloaks allowing you beam back any crew that are aboard.

Though the view of the enemy ship switches to the external hull, occluding the rooms. So you have to know where your crew were located in order to initiate the transport.

After many hundreds of play-throughs I did not know this!

Huh. I've never tried using the teleporter when the rooms aren't shown. I know someone said somewhere a while back about how they were able to pause right after the boss fight starts and teleport boarders over, so maybe this is the same bug?

Since that was said, I've tried 50+ times. There is NO time between the clearing of the dialog box and the cloaking of the flagship. Period. I will not believe otherwise without video proof, and I'll even be skeptical then.

This does sound odd, too, considering how if the enemy ship blows up you can't pull your crew back (even if you pull them back right before the weapons hit). I'd think that even if you COULD initiate the teleport, it would fail for similar reasons. That said I'll try it next time my guys are stuck on an enemy ship that happens to be cloaked AND escaping, which come to think of it I don't think happens all that often.

I actually just encountered this myself and it works. I had a couple rock crewmen on a AI ship trying to take out its piloting before it could jump...the darn thing cloaked and the jump imminent started flashing and I freaked out. I set the teleporter to bring them back which you can do while a ship is cloaked but it doesn't activate until it uncloaks. Sure enough as it jumped I heard the teleporter sound and I got my crewmen back.
