Does our progress in the Beta switch over to the Full?

Just wondering if our progress in the Beta will carry over to the Full Version? I only finally unlocked a new ship outside of the Engi and Fed ones and I'd hate to lose it now :3

Yes. You probably won't even notice the "switch," it will be connected to the same key and you're already nearly playing the full version anyway.

How would a key work on GoG.com anyway? I haven't really seen anything - or haven't noticed anything- like a "redeem code" link.
