Any planned FTL sequel?

It seems like one of the biggest complaints I've seen is for more content. Some of the mods have facilitated this, but are limited (I especially liked running around with a star destroyer in one game and a borg cube in another), because of the way the game is currently set up, yet I don't see it being too much more for a sequel to take the existing game engine and just expanding it in cool, exciting ways.
Is there a sequel planned?
Here are a few things I'd like to see in a sequel:
1. Ability to have up to three ships in your Fight Group (which you can recruit during the course of the game and switch between during battles). You can then upgrade each, depending on scrap collected, etc.
2.Be able to face up to 3 to 4 ships in enemy fight groups during an encounter.
3, Be able go gain influence for a particular faction during the course of a game, meaning that you can get special perks for hiring crew from those races, and when coming across ships from their faction, they don't attack you.
4, Multi tiered map system, so to be able to set or unset an oncoming threat level (such as the rebels in the first game). This is primarily an expanded option for modders, but it could be a nice alternate game mode.
5. For a mapmaker, be able to select how many sector maps go in each section of the game (for example, if the game was separated into 3 acts, be able to set 5 sector maps for Act 1, 5 sector maps for Act 2, and 9 sector maps for Act 3), and in this mapmaker, an easy ability to modify each planet with different options to tell story, be able to use skills, or ally options with a particular faction, etc. (I know some of this is probably already available to modders, albeit in a more limited version for what I had in mind).
6. A bit better stocked shop options.
And that's just scratching the surface, but even if the above was all that was added for a sequel, I think it would be well worth getting.
