I really think FTL would benefit from mortem files, such as in DOOM: The Roguelike. They're basically text files saved to a directory after a game that display detailed stats about said game. Since there's no way to view detailed stats for games (and no way to view stats for games that don't make it on the High Score list), I think this would be a good addition. Think about it: it could have lots of stuff like "The Kestrel, a Federation cruiser, was destroyed by laser fire near the Rock home world of Vrachos IV.", and "Two of the crew were human. One of the crew was Mantis." and etc. If the devs read this, I urge you to seriously consider this. (And also releasing the instruction manual for free.)

I'd like to see it as well, if only so people can use them for YASD/whatev posts.

It would be wonderfull if the game kept track of history so it were possible to relive past glo... well defeats mostly.
