0.12.8.15 Update - Secret Sector and bug fixing

Some of the final additions to the game. It's really wrapping up now, as you might have seen from our September 14th release date announcement. Put your bug hunting skills into overtime guys :)

Features:

-Secret Sector added along with the new alien race, unique weapons, enemy ships, and player ship (and achievements and alt layout) that come with it
-Control overview screen accessible from in game menu

Tuning:

-Requested shortened versions of crew names added (if your name is in the game as a $100 backer and you have a preferred way to shorten it for the left UI crew boxes, please email me and I'll fix it)
-Save files for Windows moved to (My )Documents/My Games to allow for multiuser use and ease of finding/backing up

Bugs:

-Alien race rarity per sector was sometimes broken, fixed now.
-Music will no longer randomly stop playing (and print error code 14 in stdout)
-Drones will no longer receive experience
-AI Boarding Drones will properly attack after being de-powered and re-powered
-Beams wouldn't render properly if more than one was piercing a shield
-"Avast, ye scurvey dogs" Achievement should always work now
-Crew tooltips for health will work on enemy ship
-Numerous text grammar errors fixed
-Fixed: Some ships incorrectly started with 2 powered cloaking when purchasing it
-Boss Jumping Warning will now display within the beacon map to make sure that's clear

Just went to play the new update then but the map doesn't actually show any nodes to jump to.

You've been playing without any issues prior to this? I'll look into it but very little has changed that should be able to cause this. Have you also updated drivers or made any other graphics related changes to your computer lately?

What are your system specs? OS, etc.?

I did update to the latest amd drivers (12.8) for my 5850 yesterday so could be that, i will give them a roll back in a bit and see if that changes anything. Prior to this ive had no issues what so ever smoothest beta ever :D

Sorry you had to experience a problem then! So close to being perfect!

I've made a post on our GetSatisfaction for your report, which is where we normally are tracking bugs. Maybe other people are experiencing the issue as well. I'll update my drivers to 12.8 to see if it's a universal thing.

If you mean the Artillery Mastery, that was fixed as of the build last week (0.12.8.14), are you still not able to get it?

Bug: Sweet revenge crystal cruiser achievement does not trigger.
Got an enemy to 1 hp, then let it hit me until a shard flew out, killing it. Did it twice, no achievement.

Balance: Please boost reload speed on crystal weapons a little :<

Thanks, I see you posted it on GS as well. We'll consider the Crystal weapon buff. Those ships are less player-tested than others (for obvious reasons). Keep in mind it'll affect the enemies as well.
