it took me one run to win this with the recommended Tsunami ship, has anyone else won this mod? i thought it was impossible.

no cheats, hacks or anything, just 100% pure strategy and skill

my tactic:
-use lv3 cloak (since the boss only has lv2) and let your weapons charge up
-use the advanced ions to take out the missile, ion and laser
-wait patiently as my heavy laser rips through the flagship slowly

result:
-1 hull damage
-all crew alive
-flagship destroyed

Good job, i reached sector 6 when i tried this mod time ago, but never reached even the boss. Anyways, i didnt invest too much time on the insane difficulty mod, but of course u right, cloak is one of the best choices to survive, cloak + maxed engines and u got it.
