reward - 2 weapons at once?

At the first beacon, I defeated a ship and got 2 weapons at once.
Is this intended, and has this ever happened to anyone else?

Double burst laser MK II on first jump with the crystal B. That is pretty much game.

2 weapons at once, or two separate rewards one after another that each gave you a BL2?
Any mods used?

No Mods.
I skipped through the reward text too fast, but I think there was only one that said I got a weapon.
