FTL PT-BR Translation

Hello guys!
I'm from Brazil, and my friends can't play this game cause they don't understand a single word in english.
so i've had this idea of translating the game to portuguese by myself!
The tricky part of this idea, is to locate the language files and learn how to edit it.
There is anybody willing to help me in this quest?
Until now its just me, and the only thing i can do is to translate english to brazilian portuguese, i belive we would need the help of a few programming geniuses to edit the game menu and split our work, what do you say
i've found the work of the french translators in the forums:

we could try work as they do.
