Evening all.

On my most recent session of FTL I encountered an automated ship with 5 shields. Has anyone else seen anything similarly out of the norm?

Yep. These are rare but they can be encountered in the last sectors. Some of the late game enemies can be much harder to defeat than the boss. Good thing you hav those upgraded engines so you can run for it.
