So, just showed up to a fight in Rock Cruiser, no fuel left, against an Engi Scout with only an Ion Blaster. Ran out of missiles, no fuel, and all they can do is shoot me with the ion blaster over and over again. I'm done, right? Anyone know a way out of this?

I guess this is purely academic...I'm not waiting around for a response.

Just an Ion Blaster? Where are his drones/weps ? LMAO

I don't think it is possible to get out of this situation (besides cheating).

How did you manage to lose everything?

A stalemate happened to me recently. I came across a pirate in a rebel ship with 2 shields. I was in the Zoltan A ship, and had been searching for a weapon to deal with shields for the past sector or so. Could not find a shop. Anyway, I was given the option to try and stay concealed (not a blue option). I selected this option to avoid the fight, but was forced into the fight and could not jump away.

Us:
2 shields
>1 fuel
4 missiles
Initial weapon loadout (2 damage beam and a missile launcher)
No teleporter

Them:
2 shields
Defense drone I
Single-shot laser
Weak beam weapon
No teleporter

So I tried busting through their shields with my 4 missiles. All 4 shot down by their defense drone. At this point we're stuck. Neither party can shoot through the other's shields. No asteroids to weaken shields. No one has a teleporter to fight in-ship. My FTL drive charged fully, engine and helm are staffed, gas in the tank, but FTL won't let me jump (Jump button stayed grey). The game won't even let me save & quit. Only options seemed to be self-asphyxiation, lower my shields and go down in a blaze of non-glory, or quit without saving.

So I quit. :-/
