for instance, during Last Stand, i was fighting a Rebel Fighter with 2 Mantis boarders, unfortunately, the fighter made an FTL jump with the boarders and had to soldier on without them...i ended up losing against the flagship because of this :C

I had two 2 mantis aboard the enemy ship who were killing enemies left and right.

The earlier shooting had taken out the enemy medbay and I had even remembered to turn off autofire.

...and then a moment later the fires started by my earlier missile took out some system and the hull damage caused by this destroyed the enemy ship

I didn't even know I had managed to start a fire as I hadn't upgraded my sensors...

1) Buying a defence drone
2) Forgetting I bought said defence drone
3) Coming up against enemies with missiles
4) Getting hit by said missiles (a lot)
5) When hull is at about 3 points remember I bought a defence drone
6) Get killed by enemy right after putting up the defence drone because of it missing

Doing the same thing with the artillery beam 3 times in a single run. Much more fail.

So I'm on the red tail and by sector 5 I end up finding 4 small bombs and so in a brief moment of pure (genius) I sell my four laser with only 15 missiles so I some how make it to the boss and now I run out missiles so when my boarding party is done with weapons I can destroy med bay so I lose.

I had just jumped from a star, my entire ship was on fire, so I vented the ship and teleported my last Mantis to the enemy ship to disable the oxygen. Well, they synced up their laser and beam and destroyed my O2 room.

The worst part was, I had a system repair drone in my cargo, but even if it was active, the drone room was already destroyed.
