I was going to suggest an endless mode, but it seems to have been suggested a bajillion times already.

The existing mod is excellent, however it removes the rebel fleet and flagship. All good for a proper endless mode, but what if I want to play endlessly and still fight the flagship?

Thus, I suggest a newgame+ option-- When you defeat the flagship, you get an option to restart the game with your ship in the same state, and all subsequent ships generated harder to compensate.

I've just beaten the game for a first time, but I really aprove this idea! Would be fun to play after the boss, or maybe make some new bosses after current? I have some ideas I want to share with you, but I have no time now to type all that stuff. Speaking shortly: it should be fun to go again through 8 galaxies fighting ships with the one you've beaten boss with, and all that stuff just to fight another boss Of course enemies should be harder (like the ones you meet in 7th and 8th galaxy).

What would be nice is if such a mod included an upgrade to maximum possible reactor power. You can often reach max power in sector 6.

I think it's intentionally designed this way. Having more reactor power would lower game difficulty as you wouldn't have to manage it through fight. That's how I see it at least. But you can get more reactor power by using proper crew members Would be nice if there was possibility of having a little more power via augumentation (was it called this way?).
