@Kadu:
Right-click "GMM/backup/data.dat.bak", click 'properties', and check it's filesize.
I'm expecting something like 917 KB (939,977 bytes).

If it were getting unpacked, but started out empty (contained no data/ folder to add into),
maybe I could blame corruption.

Well, i dont know how to say it. I patch game without any mod, patching was successful. Then i selected mods and also its compiled properly. :P No idea what i did to make it work. I think it was something with data.dat.bak. When i check the size of it, its was 150 mb. I delete both files in folder and then start patching.

Thank u very much for ur help, somehow ur post repair my game. :P

Ignore modman.exe for now (it's broken), and run main.py directly.
- Windows XP: Double-click main.py.
- Windows Vista/7/8: may have to do this...

When i type cd "c:\location\of\GMM" in command prompt, it says that the system can't find the path.

Did you really type cd "c:\location\of\GMM"? You are supposed to replace "c:\location\of\GMM" in that command by the name of the directory where you uncompressed GMM. ;)

That was really stupid of me :D Thanks for advise, there is no problem with first note but, i also need to type "main.py", and when i type it, command prompt says something like this: main.py is not an internal or external command, operable by program or batch file. And thats all. It still doesnt work

Most likely, Python is not properly installed on your computer. What installers did you use? In case of doubt, use one of the official ones: http://python.org/download/

Take the Python 2.7.4 Windows Installer, or the Python 2.7.4 Windows X86-64 Installer (if you have a 64-bits Windows).

How would I go about actually making a .ftl or .append file as I would like to make a few custom events and maybe release them onto this forum.
Also I have a problem with v1.7 as it tells me no copy of Python has been installed on my PC even though I 3 different version numbers. I run Win 7 64 bit and 1.6 seems to work fine.

Read the first post of the thread for details on .ftl and .append files.
Try running main.py instead of modman.exe

I see. I didn't realise I was supposed to open up the .FTL file as an example on how it works. Thanks.
Also running main.py worked great. I tried it earlier but nothing happened at first so I though it just didn't work. I feel really stupid but thanks for the help :D
