Re: One final chance: An FTL-RP
"That wasn't wasabi" Tabitha said to Targon, standing back from the Mantis as he was fixing the Replicator or trying to. Why doesn't he get a multi-tool like the rest of us? You can't fix complicated machinery with a pair of pliers, she thought to herself. "You uhhh must have had an allergic reaction to the substitutes I used..." she quickly added, putting the mop away and slowly vacating the room, brushing past Cathos "Then you ask him, sir if you can be the pilot. Because I only got rudimentary training from the Academy and from that Rebel Fighter I stole to get there."

Cathos looked at Tabitha, appaled that she had ran all the way here. Finally, he smirked and answered.
"Don't worry, ill tell quintet you don't like your job." He walked away to the drone bay. When he reached it, he searched around, opening several hatches. When he found one with drone parts in it, he pulled one out. Soon configuring it to a system repair drone, he tapped into its coding, disconnecting it from Quintet. After he put a personal reactor battery into it, he sent it off to the mess hall with a few taps from his remote, a touchscreen featuring the layout of the ship.

Re: One final chance: An FTL-RP
As Quintet was playing through his 20th executable file, he noticed a drone had been disconnected form the system. Because of this, he had to manually get it to make a connection, which was nearly impossible. Knowing this, he put aside that idea and took to the ship-wide announcements.
"Who just messed with one of my drones? Be aware those things are armed with plasma welders. They make fun weapons."
Quintet waited to see if anyone responded while creating a few bots to automatically forcefully connect the system.

Re: One final chance: An FTL-RP
Cathos initially scoffed at Quintet's claim. There was no plasma wielder in there. He had configured the drone itself. Unless of course the wielders were in the drone parts, but why would a combat drone need a close combat weapon? The more he thought about it, though, he felt it could be possible. Quinet had no restrictions, he could do anything he wanted with his drones. Stopping right in his tracks, he ran back to the repair drone. Gripping it, he frantically searched every nook and crevice, overturning things and opening others.
Surprisingly enough, he did find a weapon in the thing he built himself. Pulling it out, he shoved it in his pocket. As he put the drone back together, he noticed that his monitor for the drone was getting static. Realizing what was happening, he put a hacking chip into the drone. Immediately, his screen went back to normal. That taken care of, he opened his ship comm and responded to Quintet.
"Yes, and? Everybody on this ship and their mother knows that I was going to use a drone. I would've asked you, but it seemed like you were a bit preoccupied."
Btw, did the forum not work for you guys for like 2-3 days too?

Re: One final chance: An FTL-RP
Yeah it worried me for a bit as well
Now that piloting was being revamped and the crew had been fed, Tabitha found herself with some idle time on the ship while things were happening.
She headed down to the cargo hold and went to clear some space to practice with her blaster rifle, particularly in readying herself for battle - slinging and unslinging the rifle smoothly and aiming down the sights.
Then she'd probably start shooting things but she doubted there was going to be that much idle time before the ship was to get moving somewhere else.

Yes, the entire FTL website was down for some time. I was concerned as well.
I've created Type C Hulls for the enemy Mantis, Slug, Rock, and Zoltan ships, and anyone can use these for a mod.
Check out the details here.

(Is it too much to have ship cameras? It seems like it would be a standard feature especially among federation ships.)
Quintet saw him through one of the ship's cameras. The weapons that were outfitted with the repair drones were strictly to stay with them in case of any sudden boarding, so he shut down his 21st executable file and immediately addressed the situation.
"I don't care what you think you're doing. I use those repair drones for combat which is why it has weapons, and asking for help would've been easy as I have bots in the ship's communication coding on the ready to notify me of your intentions no matter what I'm doing. Now give me my drone back before I do it by force."
Quintet noticed that his bots attempting to forcefully reconnect the device noticed a different program blocking their attempts which was much more intended than a simple denial of connection from the default antivirus software.
"And that hacking chip that you hope to stop me with is quite offensive."

I mean I guess sensors would make sense, although in some places I don't think they would be there, since in the game the sensors don't show all the rooms like drone storage or crew quarters and such. Even though of course in the game they aren't accessible.
