"Jake, I'm alright... The Pelican's medbay is going to be down for a while though as the scrubbers need to clear out the radiation those Slugs put in there" Lux said over the comms. She chuckled as she conjured up a different sort of mental image "I heard that the Engi use medical nanobots throughout their ships and I was just imagining if Eden or I could somehow adapt The Gift with that in mind..."

"We'll take a look at the Robin but I will remind you that you do have our Bosun; if anything has happened to the Robin, you've got the specialist on ship repairs" Eden said, moving the Pelican towards the old ship "Also Lux, if your idea were implemented, no one would want to leave."

Once she could establish visuals (a risky move) on the Robin, Eden remarked "Looks like they've got a lot of hull breaches; You could buff it out with a few plates and no one is going to notice the difference."

The Pelican is big but it cannot carry a cruiser within the main cargo bay.
It's a cargo ship, not a repair station or a carrier. Hence why I was going with the runabout idea; The Federation Scout is a patrol boat, the shuttle is like a van... the runabout is like a Winnebago.

Perhaps The Robin could be towed or docked underneath?

It was when she saw the hull breaches where the cockpit would be...that was when a cold sweat broke out, and the realization why they didn't answer. Was the captain of this small ship dead?

Bren sighed when he saw out the window the Pelican, "Alright then, looks like we got our rescue" he said opening up the docking bay doors to link the ships together, mostly to indicate they were alive and to let them on.

"Glad they had the sense to put a manual opening here, or else...well we'd go out like those slugs in their crapply made ship" he said lightly joking a bit

Seeing the docking bay doors open up on the Robin, Eden brought her ship in closer, moving it over the crippled cruiser. Cargo ships tended to have a set of main doors for massive loads while the bays themselves were riddled with smaller doors for smaller loads between other ships.

Lux was the first to greet Bren and Ruwen as they came aboard "Holy crap" she said, a relieved smile on her face "You look like you've been through hell and back..."

The other pirates were looking at the Crystal "I didn't know Rocks came in that flavour" one remarked.
"Remember the last time you tried?"
"Yeah yeah, he tasted like what you'd expect of a creature made of rocks..."

"Yeah yeah, he tasted like what you'd expect of a creature made of rocks..."

"Hello, I am Ruwen, the Crystal" he said bowing politely to the pirates (remember Bren did send the translation data to Eden and I presume she would share the data with everyone LOL)

"Yeah we've been through hell, my cockpit has no floor, the designer of this ship made the mistake to not setting up an contigncy for this sorta of situation so I can't transfer any of the ships functions to naother room without being in the cockpit. Yeah....got room on your ship...also I don't taste goodP

Lux gave a short laugh at the antics of the cannibals as they examined the Crystal.
"Even if they found you the tastiest thing in the galaxy, they'll not harm you" she said to Bren "Although they will hint at it a lot... Eden's told me all about The Gift."
She gestured to the pirates to move away and look at the Robin's integrity. They looked at her with their crazed smiles and backed away. They did not however obey the second part, just watching the Crystal... "Eden's presence keeps them in line, although it seems as my training continues and I expand my powers, I can do the same thing myself."
"Almost" Eden commented, waddling into the cargo bay. "Boys, take a look at that cruiser we've got attached to our hull and see if you can fix it up. I'll deal with these morsels."

The pirates nodded and grabbed their tools. Eden looked to the Zoltan and for a second Lux couldn't really tell them apart except that one was glowing brighter visually.
"Luxanna is right though... Zoltan are full of energy but they lack substance" Eden chuckled, patting her belly "And I've still got to get through dinner before dessert."

Eden looked at Gorlag and gave a friendly "I'm watching you" wave before looking at Ruwen "Eating him would be like trying to eat a Mantis... they'd have to have all their sharp edges removed and that would probably mean they'd be dead."
On the question of repairs, Eden shrugged "I mostly handled cargo on old freighters before I got exposed to The Gift. If my crew can keep The Pelican in working order, your ship isn't that much of a stretch."
She waddled over to the pile of Slug corpses that had been teleported onboard. Several were inside refrigerated containers while others were in the process of being put in others when they had docked with the Robin. "I'll see what I can do about supper..."

Lux looked to Bren again with a "Here goes nothing" look, maintaining a steady smile.

It looked like she was rather pregnant under the jumpsuit "I know it must be terrifying though for you to be well... walking on a ship full of cannibals AND without the influence that Eden and I have to keep them in line..."
