So for some reason, after the game runs for a couple minutes or so, it just... freezes. Completely freezes. There's no error message or anything. And even when I restart, if I try to play again (either continuing or restarting), it just automatically freezes after a few seconds. Is this a problem with my a lack of RAM (4gb)?

What mods are you running? Can't just be CE itself, we need details. Are you running Endless Loot? Are you using a ship mod as well which has no crew? Did you buy an artillery and then the game crashed for some reason and try to start without using the fixer?

if you try to use the Endless Loot mod and you are getting crash at startup.. near the end of the loading bar,

(iam using Windows 8 64bit .. this is for windows)

it lets the program , FTL use more than 2GB of ram ... it uses like 2.2Gb of ram for me to load up.

great mod!! this game is awesome!

Isn't this the bug that enemy ships don't fire while either you or THEY are cloaked?

I'm feeling that minelaunchers (and some of the artillery) need a defense-heavy build to work well.
Most of the time in FTL you're trying to disable the enemy first, and kill its hull only second because with most builds if you ignore the enemy's weapons, you'll take too much damage during fights and will exhaust yourself. And minelaunchers don't help with that.
But if you plan your ship around defense, and accompany minelaunchers with other hull-damaging & shield bypassing weapons, then your ship should work a lot better.

Maybe those "trolling events" should still exist as a possibility, but be very rare?

Yo, pretty old hand of FTL here, I just started playing a lot again recently and decided to install CE. I only have CE and the CE resource pack installed, and I'm having the same problem as CattyNerd. When I load a save it play the (as best I can described it) "whoooooooooooBING" noise from when you jump to a new sector. Once the sound has finished the game freezes and I actually have to CtrlAltDel to get out. As i said, this is only after I load a previous save, irregardless of where I saved. I didn't have Artillery installed on any of the ships I lost to these crashes. Thanks for the help in advance :D

There's a nebula exit beacon that just says "This long-range beacon is almost hidden within the nebula. You can travel to the next sector from here." Shouldn't this event allow you to do crew interactions / production?

I think it's a thing with the game you can't change at all. No matter what, the exit nebula beacon must always have that event. Although I might be wrong.

You can change the event, but that seems to cause problems for some reason, so I left it as it is.

I'm looking into this, but haven't been able to reproduce the crash yet...

Found a bug idk what causes it but I am just going to upload the continue file, jumping to the node on the left of the exit causes a client hang.

My game loads, then instantly crashes.
My operating system is windows 8.
