Well, to be fair the game was never intended to load that many assets as it does with EL installed. You can't really blame the defs for handling assets that way, as it worked just fine for vanilla and minimizes loading times ingame. An again, FTL was never intended to be modded. I'd still wish that EL would work smoothly for everyone (we even planned multiple prefixes on weapons, which would have resulted in an exponentially higher amount of assets) but there is nothing that can be done about it.

So yeah, as mentioned in the troubleshooting section and the discussion: Endless Loot may not work for everyone. It is possible that you can't use it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think all possible problems are covered in the troubleshooting section right before the downloads. A separate thread would be possible, but might just as well complicate things further (do we have to shout at people each time someone posts problems here instead of the troubleshooting thread?). Personally I don't mind people asking their questions here, it's kind of the logical place to go.

Oh wow, thats kind of neat. I don't fully understand how the game handles the different layers of the crew image (skin, hair, uniform...) Does each of these bytes controls one of the layers? (human crew has four layers in CE)

You are right, clonebay should be affected there.
