Hello! I've been able to run the FTL editor, and it successfully detected my ftl.dat folder, but when I attempt to open ftl.dat, I get an out of memory error. Anyone know what's going on?
Here's the error log:

That file provides background context with which to interpret profiles ("ae_prof.sav") and saved games ("continue.sav"). Switch to the appropriate tab, click the "Open..." button, and choose one of those files instead. You should find those in your Documents/ folder.
I tried to get the ftl.dat file hacked however, it just corrupted the file and I lost all my progress as I had no backup D':
When I moved over the file (ftl.dat) using Ifile, i had version 1.5.14 on my iPad which I downloaded from a place called appcake. After it moved onto my computer, I tried to open the ftl.dat file in the editor but none of the pictures of the ships show up and when I try to save the file it just says that it's a blank profile and something about eye-candy. I tried for hours again and again trying and retrying to get it to work but it was in vain I got nothing. Also, I cannot find any prof.sav files on my iPad and there are no other "ae_prof.sav" files either.

Sorry, the iPad edition is not supported because its resources packaged in a very different way.
The editor can only open an ftl.dat from Windows, OSX, or Linux editions.
Bonjour,
Reading profile ("ae_prof.sav") failed:
/home/vash/.local/share/FasterThanLight/ae_prof.sav (Permission non accordée)
y a t il quelque chose que je fais mal ? auriez vous une idée pour m'aider ?
Et un grand merci pour ce cheat qui va me permettre de rendre le jeux (encore) plus attrayant pour mon jeune fils
