Eyesight Technology wrote:"Bren, order everyone for a meeting in the medbay. I'll go deal with these slugs." Jake started out of the room, and noticed Lux and Bren were nervously staring at him. "Don't worry, I won't shoot 'em." He said, rolling his eyes. He took the gun, anyways. He went down to the engine room, and ordered the slugs to move it. They grumbled and griped, but Jake poked and prodded them with his gun and they slithered into the airlock. He shut down the internal airlock controls, and use the external ones to close the door. He disabled the external controls, and only HIS access code could open the doors.
"Even if you manipulate someone into opening this door," He said into the airlock "They won't be able to, because only my code can unlock it. And don't think about manipulating me, I'll be far away from here."
Jake could feel the two slugs poking around in his head as the airlock control pad went from green to yellow, symbolizing that it was disabled. Jake resisted harder and harder to their mind tricks, and eventually he broke out into an all-out sprint away from the airlock, to get out-of-range of the slugs' abilities. He would not let them take him. Once the slugs' presence faded, Jake met the others in the medbay. "I took care of the slugs. They're locked in the aft airlock, and only my Authorization Code can unlock it. And I'll be out of their range, on the other ship. So yeah, it's under control. Now, first I'll tell you all about our new ship..."
Jake explained everything he had learned. EVERYTHING. In return, the others explained the addition of Ruwen, who more formally introduced himself. Jake was fascinated by Ruwen and his story. He also had some stuff to say about the Metal Eaters, but he was unsure of the whereabouts of them currently.
Once they were finished catching up, Jake asked for who would stay in the Robin and who would be the crew of the new ship. Jake determined that he would be Captain of the fleet, as well as pilot of the Mature. Bren volunteered to pilot the Robin, which Jake was enthusiastic about. As for the others, it was time to discuss...
WOL stayed quiet throughout the whole reunion. Once it was finished, Jake discussed the matter of who would be taking positions between the Robin, and the newly acquired ship. WOL volunteered to board the new ship, he was more than a little curious to see what it had to offer. Before they moved positions, WOL caught up with Jake. "Jake, I have some matters that I'd like to discuss with you. Privately." Said WOL before walking off.

"Everyone in position. Those coming to the new ship, meet at the port-side airlock to transfer onto the new ship. I'm gonna talk to WOL for a minute."
Being on one ship or another is not a strict commitment, people can transfer freely when we get the chance
They went to an empty room. "Hey WOL - what's up? I noticed that you haven't been very talkative lately..."

Kyrie taken the knife from the corpse and cut off the bonds. She dragged the body into the airlock and released it into space. She joined the rest of the crew in the medbay and heard the news about the new ship. "I'll go on the new one if Ruwen is staying here." She took the knife the guy had used and her bag, then went to the air lock. "I'm still skeptical this ship is really from the future."

"So its gonna be me Ruwen and our Medic, goody" he said, "We are really gonna need to hire up some new guys" he said, "At least someone to help keep things maintained if we aren't gonna have an engi- wait a minute" he said
"I found a repair drone, maybe we could install a drone bay. That could help out" he said noticing the scrap floating around
"I think we should take some time grab some of that scrap from those slavers and hopefully we get enough for all our repairs and such"

Sorry for late response. Really busy.
"I've been wanting to ask you this for a while now." WOL said in a serious tone. "It's about this mission. The details surrounding it." WOL paused before continuing. "As you know, I was once a crew of a research vessel. Before leaving, I had a data chip that I was instructed to give to the federation. Truthfully, I had no idea what information it housed, and I didn't think to find out. But that engi from before, somehow, he knew about the chip, and I don't recall meeting him when I gave it to the federation." WOL paused again.
"I have a feeling that you know the answer to my question, I don't know why, but I just feel as if you do."
"How did he know about the chip?"

Wait, is Jake actually supposed to know? I don't remember Duston telling Jake the origins of the chip... But it could just be my bleh memory,
so much has happened since Page 16/17/18! Please tell me if Duston did tell Jake the origins of the chip, I will revise the following post. I don't want to mess this up...
Jake pondered this for a moment. "No WOL, I have no idea about where Duston got the chip, or how he knew of it. That's actually a good point.
Duston reported that my father is the one who got the Rebel Intel and put it on the chip, and I assume he somehow got it through, back to Federation territory. I always just assumed that my father was able to somehow get the chip to the Research Station you were working on, and that's where the info was analyzed- in secret. But now that I think about it, that doesn't explain Duston or his role in all of this. And he certainly made sure that we wouldn't be able to ask him about it later. It's worth looking into - Hooves was his last name. The databanks on the new ship were pretty much wiped, to prevent timeline contamination, I suppose. And the databanks on the Robin are outdated. If we can get our hands on a decent Federation database, and some upper level clearance codes, Duston Hooves is a name worth searching for. But clearance like that is certainly hard to come by..."

"Now then, I think our first order of business was to go with Bren's original plan. That pirate station might have what we need to improve our current situation" Lux said "Plus I could probably go for something different to eat. I should ask our Slug friends what they recommend."
She laughed "They'll probably suggest a plate of Human limbs or try and get me to murder everyone."
Looking at Bren "Set a course for the station, if we haven't already and didn't you say the code was something about "The Slugs are buying drinks and the Rockmen are paying" or along those lines?"

"Yeah, you basically get askeded "where are you going, the bar?" and we would reply with that" he said prepping for takeoff
"So ya don't mind me being captain of the robin?" he asked as they flew off and warped to the next beacon, Jake and the others would follow shortly

When they arrived at the beacon they were met with a very large rock cruiser, marked on it were the marks of many different pirate insignias
"State your business, where are you going, the bar?" a Gruff one eyed rockman said on the com link
"Yeah, the slugs are buying the drinks, but the rockmen are paying" Bren said
The Rockman chuckled, "a bit of an old phrase, but clearly you know what you are saying, the new phrase is The Zoltans are paying but in jolts."
"If you cause trouble we won't hesitate to shoot you out the sky, there is a free dock at port Hedgia, transfering the data you need" he said
"No problem, thanks my good man" Bren said seeing the data on screen
'Have a nice day, and remember, start a fight for any reason here, and I don't care if your a mantis pirate lord you will killed"
The call ended and Bren moved on towards the station and everyone on board could see the large structure, literally made of many asteroids welded together with pieces of metal inside, it was huge and they could even see work of more asteroids being added to it, guess new wings.
"See people, even pirates have their own laws and rules, stations like this is basically neutral ground, no pirate can cause trouble or the others will turn on them, that rock cruiser had those insigas on them to prove it was a neutral ship, not affilitated with anyone but allied to all who play nice. Ironicly we are the safest here as if anyone is caught stealing or causing trouble they will be eliminated." he said
"Sometimes its nice to have my experience as a pirate slave...I could learn and see a lot with barely a risk of being killed because of my value..." he said sighing a bit at that realization.
"Anyway almost there, disabling our weapons to show we are friendly, however I don't want anyone going out on their own, I mentioned being caught for causing trouble, doesn't mean trouble can't start...just means they won't get caught if ya know what I mean" he said as he flew into hanger dock, next to them were some free spaces, but also some spaces filled with rock ships, mantis, and a couple of slug ships. Clearly this was not a place for Federation allies, or at least a place they avoided.

If you don't remember the details on the new ship, go to page 25 and read my really-long post on that page.
Jake met the others at the port airlock and proceeded onto the new ship. The first question was always "Where are the doors?" Jake explained the forcefield door system. He went around explaining the other systems, and the respective crewmen who would man those systems were especially impressed. The evasion on the engines, the firepower on the weapons, the new Purple Shield technology in the Shields room.
When they got to the Sensor room, the super-advanced short range sensors were explained. The others were blown away how these sensors could detect faults in enemies, and that the sensors had their OWN WEAPON (The Fault Beam) which could tear apart these faults if targeted correctly. Jake realized that someone would need to man these advanced sensors - someone who could be very precise. Either that or Sarah would have to do it.
Jake was wondering if those who obviously showed doubt that this ship was from the future were starting to belive him. Jake took the crew to a meeting in the medbay.
"Sarah!" He shouted into the walls. Suddenly, the AI herself appeared, standing next to Jake. "This is Sarah, the ships' AI. She's not like other AIs, she has her own emotions, thoughts, and ideas. She inhabits this ship, and can control it when she needs to. If any of you have issues with your stations, I'm sure you can ask her. Did I miss anything?"
Sarah smiled slightly. "Yes, I'm willing to help you at any time. Whatever you need. But please remember that I'm not just a machine, I have thoughts and feelings too." She glanced at Jake, still recalling what happened before. Jake shrunk back a little. "I also use the Ships telepathic systems to interface directly with the minds of the crew, to get a better understanding. Please don't be embarrassed or unnerved by this, my mind reading is involuntary, and I promise I won't judge or share your internal thoughts or emotions. Just call when you need me, or just if you want someone to talk to. I get lonely too, sometimes!" She waited for others to ask her questions, about the ship or herself.
