He stopped, "...so..you don't know about my empire, yes we were a mighty empire, but we were at war with the ones known as the metal eaters, creatures who was a plague on the galaxy, devouring metal and minerals, we fought to stop them..." he lowered his head, "I will have to return to our home sector, if there are no one left, then I might be the last of my kind..." he said, "But...given you don't know of the metal eaters, perhaps we also succeeded in our efforts to erredicate them" he said.

"Come let me collect the weapons and collect all the information I have, I'm sure you have many questions for me about my people" he said, well at least he seemed to be taking this well, he at least wanted to help

Lux nodded "Welcome aboard Ruwen. Let's get you up to speed on the galactic situation and perhaps we can learn more on these... Metal-eaters as you call them."
She waited for everyone to get all the weapons to a cargo bay before calling the Robin in to pick them up - the shuttle was designed to transport people and small cargo. A starship weapon was just a bit too big for the tractor beams of the tiny craft and would require a larger, more direct beam.

I'm assuming that the shuttlecraft can carry a bit of cargo underneath or above, but they're not Tugboats.

I wonder if I can stream a few episodes of Captain Awesome for him to watch. The ones that dealt with important galactic events, she thought to herself, I wonder how old the ansible can be anyway

"...umm hold on, Jake...we have a new crew emember...not gonna believe what is is..." Bren said through the speaker towards Jake

"Who is jake?" Ruwen asked, of course Jake not being within range of updating his translator only heard the crystal language

What he didn't expect to see, was a large crystalline alien accompanying them. WOL couldn't comprehend what he was seeing, not once in his life had he ever heard of such a thing, it possessed the same large frame as a rock man, but seemed to be composed of something different. Sort of like a "Crystal man"

WOL choked out "W-Who is this you've bought onboard?"

WOL coughed, "Ah yes, forgive my manners. My name is WOL, I am belong to a race known as the "Engi" we are commonplace all throughout the galaxy. If you don't mind me asking, what exactly are you?"

"We were known as the Crystals, our true name is very complex, but we took this name based on what others called us. So a machine with a soul, facsinating technology you new races have. When I was still in the war, not as many species" he said

"So, are you the crew's worker drone, repair bot? Or are you an actual comrade?" he asked

Lux gave Ruwen free reign to look around and chat with the crew while she headed for the helm where Bren was talking to Jake "Are you telling me that he's communicating with us beyond the range of the beacon?" she asked him "That must be one powerful ansible he's using... I wonder if he can stream television with it as well?"
She laughed with her usual shrill laugh "In any case, we should get a move-on to the pirate station; maybe they have medical records on Rockmen there I can use so I can give our new crystalline friend a better checkup than assuming that those cracks are used to attract Crystal women."
