Your "Fuck you, FTL" Moments

I had just one of the biggest f u moments that can possibly happen in this game, or i think that it can't get much worse.

I was doing pretty well on my mantis ship run (game was on easy because I'm a noob and i wanted to unlock the next ship by beating the boss). Then I get boarded on a place where the sun is so close that solar flares hurt you. No problem, I put all my 3 mantisses against the intruders and kill them pretty easily. I put all my mantisses in med bay and jump out to exit as soon as possible so solar flares wouldn't hurt me.

On exit beacon there is an automated ship with pretty low hull value. I decided to attack it because my hull is full and I had pretty good weapons. As soon as I decided to start attackin it, it launched a hacking device on the med bay and killed imidiately all of my 3 mantisses with it. After that happened I just quit the game for a couple of hours.

When my Fed. Cruiser was equipped with 2 Flak Guns MK1 (which I adore)

First volley, both guns: Miss. To be expected, I guess.

Second volley: Miss.

Third volley: One hit on enemy shields.

Forth volley: MISS! DAHELL IS THIS!

I depowered those, switched to my Laser Burst, took out enemy Piloting and Engine, fired a fifth volley.... Miss.

I love the Flak Guns, but sometimes their lack of accuracy is just painful.

Just had a game where I was dominating...had baller drones, a pike beam, maxed-out shields, 7 or 8 crew members that could do pretty much everything. I was in sector 6 just facerolling my way to the end ready to get my first actual win.

Then I jump into a nebula with an ion storm and a rebel ship that boards me. My standard procedure for dealing with invaders is to just asphyxiate them while my crew sits in a safe room behind ultra blast doors. So I did that, beat the ship, but then I notice my crew is all dying. What the hell? Why? What is going on??

I didn't notice my O2 system had gotten turned off because of the ion storm, so my crew ran out of air. Fuck you, FTL.

So I decided I will not unlock ships on anything but hard difficulty.

3 times I´ve taken rock b to sector 7, things have looked good. 3 times I´ve been blown to pieces on that sector.
Once I had the option of just avoiding battles and going to exit beacon, I was just a jump away... but I decided to grind a bit more there and I got myself burned to death with fire bombs and then glaive beamed once my shields were out. I had a really fine ship too and I could have jumped away before the engines got burned but didnt. FUN!

So yesterday I finally unlocked every ship including the Crystal B so today I decided to have a go with it. Now first I must say the ship is awesome and one of the best in the game but my shitty luck completely negates that. I don't know why but the better the ship the worse my lluck is and the shittier the ship, the better luck I have. I won with the Stealth B on first try and its my high score (wtf). Guess what I lost 3 times IN A ROW with CRYSTAL B! + I ragequitted 2 more games. Every single one of these losses was some Sector 1 bullshit. Either the first jump was to a scout with beam drone ion weapon next to sun which completely annihilated me. Or asteroid fields hitting my teleporters and engines or 4 mantis boarders I dont know why but I have never had worse luck in any FTL game so far. I could have done better sometimes but still FUCK YOU FTL AND YOUR RNG BULLSHIT!

1. After playing for DAYS I finally make it for the first time to Rebel Flagship, thinking I'm doing really great and it wipes me out almost instantly. WTF?

2. A couple of days later, make it back to the Rebel Flagship, in much better shape than the first time, beat the Rebel Flagship only to find out I have to do it more than once and get wiped out almost instantly when it comes back the second time. WTF!?!?!

Was doing Hard with Crystal A, was doing pretty well, taking my time and suffocating my enemies via mind control and destroying their oxygen system. Get a scrap recovery arm and Flak 1 by sector 3, this should go well.

Hmm why am I so low on fuel? It's really biting me having to buy it at every store.

Hmm last 6 shops haven't had stealth, I really needed that before the boss fight.

HMM I was doing well but now it I'm pretty outmatched vs the boss. I am 5 short from a full reactor, even. Strange.

Okay, dead, WTF 1413 scrap in 101 jumps?? That's like my lowest ever while playing all the way through to the flagship, and I should've been on the higher end, taking ships intact and getting a scrap recovery arm. Without running away? Fuck you, FTL.

Mantis C, on the third ever jump in the game I get the event where I'm boarded by a trio of rock, msntis and a human (against my engi lanius and mantis) and ASB is locked on me (pirates set it up). I immediately rush to door systems, suffocate the guys a bit and send my lanius, while mantis acts as a back-up while engi is preoccupied with a human (they teleported very near my cockpit). Things don't go well, my lanius and mantis are down (lanius was at 70% hp after previous boarding) and then ASB hits my clone bay killing off both of them and engi couldn't repair it in time (with the hull breach and all).

I was like - what the FUCK just happened?! Seriously, this event in sector 1 seems to be somewhat insane.
