Arkangel was still on the ship when he saw something that caught his eyes. "Guys, I have some good news. I think I found... Let me see... A burst laser 2! I've heard that these things are pretty powerful for it's power consumption and it never hurts to have a bit more firepower on our side." "And Targon, ruthless? I prefer the term 'professional'." He left the cargo hold, turned on his jetpack (which is now embedded inside his back metalloid) and headed back. when he arrived in the airlock and walked into the FTL drive room he saw an engi. I think that was the body we found in the station. Arkangel thought for a moment before asking the engi something.
"Hey, you probably noticed that the FTL drive is quite badly damaged. Well I found an engine in the same station that you were found in. Would you care to help me install it to try and fix the FTL drive?"

A lanius entered the room and asked if he wanted to help repair the FTL drive. B21 looked at the consol of the drive, the readings showed a combination of overclocking the drive several times and a massive ion blast had made most of the core parts of the drive useless. "Negative, the FTL drive is beyond repair, it must be replaced. The engine you speak of might be sufficient replacement."

"Replacing the drive might take a while. We should probably find a place to land or lay low to do it. And that weapon you found, a lot of ships use it. It's a good quality weapon, but not as good as boarding if you ask me." Kr left sensors and went to the drive room to see the new engi. "Uh, hi. I'm Kr. Can you replace it yourself?"

"Sufficient replacement? That sounds good enough to me. I'll haul over the engine from the cargo hold." Arkangel left the room into the cargo hold and spotted the engine. He the proceeded to lift the drive, forming little wheels with his arms to make it easier to move, to the FTL drive room. He went over to the console and saw a nearby moon the ship can land on. "Alright, I think we should land on that moon over there while we replace the FTL drive. It'll lower the chances of detection."

"I'll have to cycle down the reactor to a minimum as well" Tabitha said "Even a ship with little to no sensors can detect the energy signature of another starship; it's how one can keep track of a cloaked ship while it's phased out. Or so I'm told. Low power means lower chances of someone's sensors picking us up but it does mean we're essentially flying in a plasma storm with our reactor power so low."
She docked the ship with the disabled Rebel Rigger "Still, are we going to do something about those prisoners before we engage in any stealth activities? Maybe set them up with their captor's ship?"

"A BURST LASER SECOND CLASS!?" Targon yelled over-joyously as he zoomed to where the weapon was in the other ship's cargo bay, accidentally knocking over Kr and pushing Tabitha out of the way with blissful ignorance, "I can't believe this! What condition is it in? Newly put together, roughly used, WHATEVER!" He collided with the weapon and sprawled onto the ground, only to pop right back up and hug the thing.
"Ah, yes! Now let's see here..." Targon brushed the lettering on the side. "Oh. You'll be interested to hear about this type guys, it's the Tactical Update. It can't break down hull but it's strong enough to destroy systems double the usual amount. The perfect boarding tool, Arkangel.
"Alright, everyone out of the cargo bay! I'm going to hook up this bad boy!" Targon proceeded to install the weapon. "This may take about an hour, just so you know."

I've created Type C Hulls for the enemy Mantis, Slug, Rock, and Zoltan ships, and anyone can use these for a mod.

Tabitha wondered how she was pushed out of the way from a distance while piloting the ship. She then decided not to think about it further as she headed for the Rebel ship to deal with the prisoners.
As soon as she walked into the ship though, the surrendering Rebel, Steve immediately looked away. "You! Release the prisoners immediately and get off this ship" she declared.
The man shook his head "I can't... only the Captain can release them and your Lanius freak turned him into a fine pink mist."
Tabitha frowned "Fine, I'll have the "Lanius Freak" cut them loose from their shackles."
Steve smiled "Go ahead then."
"And you're coming with me. If there's anything you're not telling me, you'll be within the blast radius" Tabitha replied, grabbing the soldier "Understood?"
The Rebel soldier whimpered. "Arkangel, can you please check for explosive collars. I don't think the Rebels would want to treat the prisoners fairly and might resort to slaver methods"

Kr stumbled back when Targon pushed out of the room, screeching about the new weapon. He looked toward B21. "He's a bit... different than regular mantis. I guess we all are in a way. So are you planning to stay? Because we really need an engi like you."

Arkangel hurried over to the rebel rigger and check the prisoners for explosive collars. "Yep, I see some. Guess the rebels don't treat their prisoners the best." Arkangel went back to their ship and went into the FTL drive room. B21, when we finish dealing with the prisoners we'll land on a nearby moon and start to replace the FTL drive. Oh, and it's a wise idea to put on a respirator while we work, or at least hold your breath." Arkangel formed a rice meal out of his body and started eating. "Oh, do you want anything?"
