"Guys, the FTL drive is not responding. I'll see what I can do about keeping the ship working under regular power but I think someone needs to check out the reactor core or else we're not going anywhere out of this system" Tabitha said, moving the ship towards the Rebel vessel. Upon seeing this happen, it started moving faster away and the sensors picked up a power surge in their engines and weapons systems - they were preparing to jump

"Hmm, maybe a small hit at their engines aand the ASB can hit their puny basic laser," Targon scoffed, "Cargo ships are equipped with crap. I don't get it." He fired, and everything hit exactly as planned. "Arkangel, you're free to go."

"Well, wish me luck guys."
He then proceeded to leap out the airlock, engaging the jetpack and flying towards the cargo ship. I should aim towards the helm. Less chance of the ship jumping away. Arkangel turned on the turbo boost on the jetpack and impacted the helm, causing a breach. Oh, this is gonna be fun.

"Did you guys hear that? Some kind of boarding drone. Probably trashing up the helm right now."
"Yeah, let's stop that."
The crew entered the helm and... nothing. There was a breach, but Arkangel was nowhere to be seen.
"That's weird, I didn't know boarding drones had cloaking. Well let's fix up this br-"
Several blades sliced through the crew's heads from the ceiling. The renowned assassin's favorite trick. It's amazing how people don't bother to look up. Arkangel dropped from the ceiling and, after a few slices and jabs at the helm, proceeded into the next room, immediately impaling all the crew inside. "Guys, I think that's their entire crew dead. We can scrap this ship now. Also, you guys might want to check out the FTL drive and try and fix it. We're sitting ducks without it."

Steve knew he was going to have a bad day when a boarding drone smashed through the ship he was serving on. As soon as he saw his crew get impaled though, he put his hands up in surrender.

Tabitha smiled at how quickly the ship was taken over "Nice work. Can you check what cargo they were carrying? I'm picking up Human lifesigns in the hold..."
Either a prison ship or they're full of Rebel trainees or otherwise they would have already attacked, she thought to herself. She then wondered what Arkangel would do if someone had just seen what happened and deployed defence drones in all their ships...

(Okay, before we go on, I just want to know what our ship has and hasn't. How many layers of shields do we have? What systems do we have installed? How much power do I have in the weapons? What's our reactor's power supply? Etc).

(We have the basic systems plus hacking and drone control, but that's all I know)

"I'll see what I can get in the sensors." Kr went to the sensor station to see what readings he could get. "There's definitely people in the cargo bay, but they look like prisoners. There are mostly engi, a few human and rockmen. Should we dock?"

B21 woke up. The last thing he could remember was fighting for his life against rebels. He was in a FTL drive room, a very damaged one. The drive was of human design, so he was probably on a rebel or federation ship. The door was locked, and he did not have access to the console.

"Hey, I think that Engi woke up finally!" Targon said, looking at the life form sensors. "I'll introduce him to the ship." He scurried to the engine room and opened the door.
"Hello! My name is Targon. You're probably wondering how you got here, so I'll tell you. You died in a fight against rebels, a Zoltan stored enough energy into you so you could wake up, he's dead, by the way. So apparently you're alive! Great! The weird looking human is Tabitha, pilot and cook, the Lanius is Arkangel, assassin and a ruthless killer, and the other Mantis is Kr, a mercenary. They work on this ship, just like me. We're about to scrap a ship, if you wish to help."

"Weird-looking?" Tabitha asked "If anything, it's the Humans from Terra that look weird... and more likely to join the Rebellion."
She moved the ship in closer to the disabled Rebel vessel - to help facilitate scrapping and to pick up Arkangel so he didn't have to use a jetpack to get back.
"If anything, our Engi friend should help us with the repairs. My console is held together with solder and chewing gum..." she added "And we don't actually carry any gum which makes it even weirder..."

"Ayy we could use some repairs." Kr looked through the scanner data and the map of the rebel ship. "It looks like the cargo hold can be accessed from one of the empty rooms on the port side, beside the engine room. What are we going to do with these people?"
