Kyrie stepped into one of the suits used for this purpose and boarded the shuttle. She took a federation issue pistol and placed it in the holster on the suit. "You ever been on an abandoned ship like this, Lux? I've always wanted to go on one."

"An abandoned ship?" Lux laughed "Oh I don't think I told you that story have I Kyrie? You heard about the incident with the Pelican?"
The Pelican was a freighter that was operating in a quarantined sector, bringing contained samples of the virus to a Zoltan research facility. "Fusion batteries to power, coils to speed..." Lux said "Communications check."
She then continued "I was six years old, playing hide-and-seek when I locked myself inside a shuttle by accident. The same shuttle that was sent to investigate the Pelican."

"Comunication is established, we are ready to go, releasing ship's hold on shuttle, all you need to do is release your end" he said activating the green light to go

So how are we getting to the ship? A close flyby with the ship and an airlock transfer or will the shuttle be used?

(I'd say the shuttle, and yes obviously this the crystal ship, but I think if we play smart like we are doing now we might get both the weapon and our new friend LOL)

At least we don't have to go through a 3 part quest based entirely on chance lol

Last one I choose for offical events, I promise. But its nice to do some of them.

Well that's only two out of the however many we've done.

"And?? Were they all dead or something?." The shuttle released from the ship and began to move toward the crystal-ship, dodging asteroids along the way.

"Let's just say that Dad was not amused" Lux said cheerily "He had to stay in the cargo bay to make sure I didn't wander off. I wanted to see what the dangerous ship had to offer after all."
She tapped a few of the stabiliser controls and checked the life support readings to make sure it was 30 minutes and not 03 minutes.
"We barely made it out of there. The disease had turned the entire crew into crazy cannibals if it didn't outright kill them" she continued "It was after spending the following weeks in quarantine while Mum came up with a cure that I decided I should become a doctor like her."

But what happened to the Pelican? Did it get a radiation bath and repurposed? Is it still out there in space, waiting for more hapless people to dock with it or did the cannibals take control and now it's a pirate ship, hungry for new prey? Who knows? it might be an event in the future...
