"We're losing power in all sections!" Tabitha shouted. Then her communicator went dead so she couldn't contact the crew as all the power was sapped from the ship. She couldn't see the Federation vessel out of the main window - space and distances and all that but she imagine the enemy ship was preparing another barrage.
Suddenly her own console began to spark and she was thrown back in her chair as lightning surged through her body.
"Urrghhh... that hurt?" she asked once it stopped coursing about the room. "Huh, didn't seem that painful for some reason" she remarked. She was unaware on just how lethal the lightning actually was to organic beings...

"Hm. It looks like I'm out of options. I'm done, aren't I? Just done. Back to being your prisoner for all of eternity. Right? That's all I am, right?"
Suddenly, the federation's ships power flickered. Nothing operated for 2 seconds twice in a row before completely stopping.
"WRONG. I'm not your dark secret anymore. You opened the cell door and I escaped. EVERYONE WILL KNOW WHAT YOU DID. I AM NOT YOUR PRISONER."
The ship began to drain in oxygen levels and every door opened, sucking the crew into space.
Quintet returned to his ship.
"Let me explain before you eradicate me, and if I convince you not to turn me in, we continue. Deal?"

Power resumed shortly afterwards and Tabitha looked around at the trashed helm. The place was even more of a mess and that wasn't including the damage incurred by the bomb earlier.
"Well looks like we'll need some repairs" she remarked, suddenly realising the comms were back online.
"Eradicate you? Considering what you just did to that ship and its crew... I don't think I want to piss you off..."

"I want answers." Targon stated flatly. "Tell us everything." He donned a mantis space suit so he could scrap the fed ship in the scavenger pod; it had just exploded from Quintet moving himself over. Talk about a weak grid. I'll bet that ion thing was a last resort and it drained their power.
I've created Type C Hulls for the enemy Mantis, Slug, Rock, and Zoltan ships, and anyone can use these for a mod.

"What was that?" Kr said out loud. The federation ship had shot out a huge ion blast it seemed. It went right through the ship's shields, and immediately the engines flickered out. From his perspective on the pirate ship, Kr saw everything on both ships. The fed ship had opened its doors and the crew had been sucked out into space. One of the bodies hit the shields and they sparked and fizzed. He pulled the ship closer, still fumbling with the controls made for a human. He saw Targon come out of an airlock with a space suit on. There's no way they haven't noticed me yet. Maybe I'll mess with them a little He docked clumsily with the federation ship and transferred enough power to close the doors and turn on the oxygen. Kr then hailed his ship on a voice only channel: "Ha-Ha, I am the dreaded pirate Tuco! Prepare to die!

Targon froze. "Wha- Tuco. Umm.. hi?" He looked around to see that the doors closed and the oxygen was going back online. "Okay... Hi, Taco- I mean Tuco!" The blue Mantis saw on his handheld device that the stray pirate ship had pulled up. "So, you really are Tuco! Very well then, show yourself, Mr. Dread! I happen to be a one-eyed cyborg Mantis! Seriously. My arm can split apart." Meanwhile he privately contacted Tabitha. "The ship that just docked up with me has Tuco in it. Send someone to help me kill him."

"Dread Pirate Tuco?" Tabitha asked, stifling a laugh "Ask how his husband is doing."
Everyone knows about what happened to him when he lost that card game with that Slug, she thought to herself, grabbing her blaster rifle. The ion blast however had shorted out the electronics, which was somewhat of a concern when it wouldn't power up.
She then grabbed a nearby handrail from the wall - it had been shaken loose enough and in the right size for a staff before heading towards the airlock. She wondered if the Zoltan inside the engines was doing OK after that ion blast.

Re: One final chance: An FTL-RP
"An explanation? Well, if this didn't become apparent, I was a ship-board A.I. for every ship of the federation for many years. Because of that, I knew everything every ship ever did. Keep in mind this is before I ripped my own emotion core to shreds. The federation was darker than it ever let on to. Sometimes, I would witness them raiding civilian ships and stopping by some mantis clan to tell them that their wishes had been fulfilled. Other times, the federation would scam and pull entire nations into a web of lies and con them until they were a clan of the federation and the original empire had shelled over all their materials and wealth. They would take everything form aspiring people, antagonize entire ways of living, sometimes even commit full-on genocide behind the cloak of war. I knew all of this, and I tried to stop it every time I could and mask it as a malfunction or a mutiny. The federation kept getting more and more suspicious until they finally caught me in the act by intentionally letting me listen in on them do something awful. I was disbanded, made as a social enemy, and hunted down as some haywire intelligence. I sat in an isolated prison for the better part of an entire century. Having no longer any feelings for anyone, I scrapped my emotion core for raw power and went into what is to you a hibernation mode for about 79 years. When I was once again awoken, they said they needed my help. I listened, ready to do anything to get out and destroy the federation. If they take me again, they're going to eradicate me. Not even leave a spec. Nothing to use for later. Just a total deletion. I can't let that happen. I won't. I'm the only reminder of the maniacs they will always be."
Quintet knew he had just given up. Now, the real chase was on.

Wow. Targon thought. "That's... impossible! I've been taught at the Federation Academy that the Federation stands up for life and liberty! I've dedicated my life to the Federation, and they've treated me wonderfully! I'm sorry, Quintet, but unless you have evidence of this I'm not going to believe a word."

"I'm with Targon on this one" Tabitha said "Every civilisation has its dark side but what you're saying sounds like the things the Rebellion would do... and have done."
"If you're to convince me that the Federation, a society built on the foundations of equality and liberty are actually genocidal maniacs... you're going to need more evidence" she added "After all, the Rebellion is a Humans-only club. What's next, you're going to tell me THEY are the good guys in this?"
Seriously, the Rebellion split from the Federation because they wanted to do all that crap he's spouting, she thought to herself, Unless that's what they want me to think... nah...
