(yeah sorry for taking over, I will give up control once this "mission" is over, I mean only reason I'm in control is because well he knows where this place is and has the key word kinda makes sense...now if you want me to lose control now I can do that...sorry I don't want to be that guy who dominates an RP)

No no no! It's perfectly fine, with me!
Let's just get back into the Role Play, it's perfectly fine that you took control. It makes sense since this is YOUR mission!
It's all good!

Jake was shuttled down in a futuristic (Remember, this takes place back in time, at the start of the Rebel war. So "futuristic" to Jake is what normal FTL is like) ship to the Federation base. The base reminded Jake of the Mars Station. He visited it frequently for field trips and such. Red sand, low atmosphere, and a chrome low-to-the-ground structure embedded in the soil.
Their ship slowed, hovering over a large hanger area. Slowly and carefully, the ship floated down into the hanger, and Jake watched as the roof closed. There was a loud his for a few minutes as the natural atmosphere was expelled, followed by a pause, and then another long his as Earthen atmosphere flooded the room. More hissing, as the door to the ship slid open and the internal atmosphere diluted into the Hanger atmosphere.
"Welcome to Equinox Federation Military Base," Said the tall moderately pretty lady that had escorted Jake to the surface.
"Thank you!" Jake said, looking around nervously - especially at the massive Federation insignia on the huge wall of the hanger bay. "So... uh... Where's my ship at?"
"Eager to get started Captain?" The woman laughed slightly. It was weird having a ~20 year old Federation Officer calling Jake 'Captain.'
The woman walked out of the hanger, her footsteps echoing through the massive room.

Dad said that a pirate who abused the distress signal frequencies tended not to be alive for very long, she thought to herself.
I'm thinking that distress signals are sort of a galactic standard. Anyone can use them but they really are for emergencies only and using them to lure people into a trap might work a few times but no pirate tends to live long enough to develop a reputation of abusing them. Because sometimes your "rescuer" comes in the form of a big and powerful warship.

"Agreed, the rocks around here are making it hard to pin point, somone get to the sensors, see if you can boost our tracking signal" he called out, "Might be what we need to track this one"
Fury. Pure unadulterated Fury. WOL was absolutely seething with rage. The Federation that had trained WOL to fight the Rebels, the Federation that was supposed to help him avenge his family. The Federation that had caused their demise in the first place. WOL wanted answers, and there was only one person that could give them to him, Jake.
WOL finally moved, after what seemed like ages, and made his way to the flight deck, where the rest of the crew gathered. The first thing he noticed when he walked in was Jake's absence, he would have to speak to him later. WOL spoke in his usual voice, but had a subtle edge surrounding it "Please forgive my absence, I had to take some to... Think. Would someone be willing to relay the current plan to me?"

"We are heading to a station in the astreroid field to get supplies and tune up the ship" he said, "Now then mind hitting the senors, need this to boosted if we want to track this signal, must be the iron in the field, bouncing the signal all around..." he muttered

Finally waking up, Kyrie sat up and looked around. The medbay was empty. She groaned as she got up, sore from sleeping on the hard floor. I probably look terrible, and there's not a single mirror on this whole ship. She groggily walked out of the medbay, and Bren came over the comms asking if anyone could understand a strange sounding voice. "Sounds like a rockman to me. Maybe with a weird voice." Kyrie walked back to shields, still yawning. The sensors showed they were at a different beacon then when she had fallen asleep. Looking at the logs, the ship had gone to a fed military base, then jumped here. Jake must have stayed behind to get the new ship that engi promised.
While they were waiting here, Kyrie decided to ask about the place they were headed. "So this beacon. What kind of a place is it?"

"Its a pirate Station, neutral territory neither Fed or Rebels. We should be able to fix up our ship no questions asked maybe get better weapons and supplies on the black market and what not" was Bren's reply through the com link to the shield room
"Now then need those sensors boosted, can't track the distress signal..." he groaned

WOL nodded. So it seemed that Jake had stayed behind at a federal base to retrieve the promised ship.
"That would certainly be the most reasonable course of action. Now, since we are dealing with pirates, I assume that federation regulated currency is not accepted, so the only option would be to use scrap. Does anyone know how much scrap we currently have in hand?" Said WOL.

"We have around 60 units, also 4 missiles plus 3 we started with, a repair drone, and a burst laser model 1," he replied as he watched the sensor array get a bit boosted by whoever went in (presuming one of you do), "Also some pirates will take our credits, some use it for legitment purchases when needed, so never know, in all my savings I brought I have 2000 credits (I'd say worth around 40 scrap if the guy accepts the stuff)"
"Alright give me a few minutes to recalibate everything and I think I might be able to pin point the signal" he said to everyone

"This is the room with your ship," Said the pretty woman. The huge metal blast door in front of them looked like it was meant for nuclear fallout. She bent down, (which certainly got Jakes attention) and stared into a lens near the door. A red light passed over her eye, and a computerized voice said "Retinal Scan Identified. Entry authorized. Entry logged."
The door made a loud clanging sound, as some kind of locking mechanism deep within the cold steel retracted. The door grindeed open slowly. The woman waited for the door to come to a complete stop, before entering.
"Captain Jake Collins, meet your new ship." She said, smirking slightly. Jakes' eyes widened. This 'new' ship was battered and weathered. There were burn marks all over it, marks of battle.
"This ship isn't new... Where did you get it?"
"On the contrary, Captain Collins. This ship is newer than new. The real question is when did it come from,"
"I don't understand," Jake said. For the first time since he was transported to the Federation Ship, he wasn't thinking about the pretty Fed woman. He was thinking about this ship.
The woman that Jake had been so previously distracting took out a Quatum Scanner - a tool used to date objects based on quantum signatures. (Star Trek: Enterprise, anyone?) She took a scan of the battered ships hull, and then passed the device to Jake. On the readout of the device, it read:
Error: The item scanned is Negative 432 Years Old.
"Are you telling me... this ship is from the Future?" Jake asked, confused.
"Indeed. This ship comes from the future. We found it in the aftermath of an ion storm. The nebula was being probed by Federation Cruisers, when the forecast showed an impending ion storm. On a scale beyond what we've seen before. The storm appeared suddenly, the cruisers barely made it out in time. From the sudden appearance, intensity, and disappearance of this storm, we have been able to determine that it was not a natural phenomenon. The cruisers left. When the storm subsided, the cruisers returned - and probed the area to search for any cause of a storm of this magnitude. They found this ship, floating adrift - no life signs. Waves of ionic energy were coming off of it, so the cruisers had to wait about 2 hours to get close. They towed the ship here, where we analyzed it."
"And you're giving it to us?" Jake asked, excited.
"Yes Jake. To stop a weapon as powerful as Black Hole Induction... you need a poweful weapon of your own." The woman said, smiling.
Jake couldn't think of what to say. After a full minute of speechlessly staring at the ship, he uttered one word...
"Awesome..........."

"Good news I've pin pointed the signal, good work whoever is in the sensor room"
With those words he moved through the field, 20 minutes of flying later and avoiding asteroids, having a few new misses they found it...
"Umm guys...you are seeing this right?" he asked
What they found looked like a huge hunk of crystal embedded into a large asteroid floating in the vacume in space.
"The signal is coming from that, umm I think I'm sensing an electronic signiture, its very weak, might be an ancient rock ship" Bren offered, 'They do like putting rocks on their ships"
