How would you go about doing this? Would you just have to sit in front of a Sun until the enemy ship melts from solar flares?

An asteroid field could also do the trick. (I have not yet achieved this.)

Probably too easy, a lot of things cause both.

Very possible with a shieldless autoship in an asteroid field.
