"Swag Bucket"? "Booty Wagon"?
You see, Shadowcrust, what joys you're missing on?
By the way, it seems my scores on Hard are higher than on Normal.

Yeah, I haven't gone back and tested that in a while.

Ha ha !! you should check out this victory I had, on hard mode, in the Gila Monster.

It was squeaky bum time in the final stage !!
I had 2 scrap repair arms & long range scanners for most of that run.

I'll strive to beat that score without teleporter

Your stats show even better than mine that the game on Hard is still too easy

I named my first Slug A "A Fistful of Scrap" ("Bucketful" was too long) and got shot down very prematurely, so I got a bit discouraged with using fancy ship names...

My Normal scores were much better than my Hard scores currently are, but they will improve!

I like the Baxtabber!
And it seems I'm really losing out a bit in the high score game...

--- More excuses to play!

I haven't hit the hidden sector yet. I imagine someone's got a few games that will crush mine.

Nice!
The Kestrel just returned to the Hangar from a quest to unlock the Red-Tail. I decided to go for the United Federation achievement, as we're comparing stats now and the Tough Little Ship achievement is a bit dangerous to get. First crew member in addition to the three humans on board: a human. Second crew member: a human. Jill was subsequently lost while trying to evacuate survivors from a burning research station, and I reached sector 4 without achievement, but with a Flak I and a Stun Ion in addition to the starting weapon loadout. A shop near the starting beacon made me reconsider the achievement to get, and I lucked out in meeting an Auto Scout adjacent to the store, equipped with an Artemis. With one hull piece left I jumped to the store, only to realise I hadn't enough scrap to fully repair after selling the Stun Ion, so I had to sell all weapons but the Burst Laser Mk II to fully repair. Achievement unlocked! Unfortunately, only Burst Laser Mk II left in the arsenal. Cue 4 ships with three shields appearing as the next opponents. Zoltan shield quest was four jumps from the Exit beacon, but I decided to still go for it. Barely made it to sector 5. Bought a Pegasus missile to supplement my BL II and next jump I get an Engi ship with a Defense Drone and 4 Engis, hurray. Got a Chain Laser I and bought a BL I, doing fairly well now. Got a Cloak and in sector 7 also Mind Control, where I also got Translator and an Engi from the six-legged horsies. And then I got a Vulcan from the "forge a naugmentation, weapon or drone schematics" event

Sold the BL I and was finally equipped to meet the flagship, which breachholed my cockpit in phase II, but was otherwise a mellow encounter.
Image looks worse than it was, some moments before I shot it down the power surge lasers hit almost everything.
The Unlocker was true to its name
And finally a decentish win rate again, although it could be better...

I made the Red-Tail into a boarding ship, only to meet mostly cloaking Auto Scouts and oxygen-less (mostly also cloaking) Lanius bombers from then on... in hindsight, I shouldn't have chosen two abandoned sectors and nebulas
Fifth flawless victory I think, again helped by employing a Hull Repair drone. I admit to even have endured one more power surge than necessary just so the drone had time to finish up
Lost some crew by boarding and to spiders, but got plenty, new crew record! 11! So different from Normal, where 11 was too few new crew for a new crew record...
Kestrel: loss, win, loss, loss, win, win, win (4/7)
Red-Tail: win, win (2/2)
