Hello all

We still need a solution for those of us windows users who don't get on with linux etc.

Still, a good find.

Well, I found a program called "Infinite screen", found here:
http://ynea.futureware.at/cgi-bin/index.pl

Which works reasonably well at panning, just set the area to finite (on the 2nd or 3rd tab) and delete the control hotkey for mouse panning (first column on the first tab). In game panning would work better, but this is an acceptable substitute for me.
?

This is windows...

You can use it to scale or pan a virtual desktop down to your actual screen size. IE do exactly what several have asked for in this thread.

That looks like just the solution that I wanted. I really wish I had the humble store version rather than the GOG.com version which is Windows only. My netbook is dual boot win/lubuntu. I guess I could try running it in wine, but that complicates the way that I sync my save between the netbook and my desktop.

Hopefully there's a solution for the windows version eventually. This is a perfect "just one more game before bed" or airplane game which is how I use my netbook.

OK, I'll be sure to do that as soon as you supply me with the cash for one :P

Bumping this thread so that more voices can be heard! :D

I had a netbook with this installed because I'm on the road, now I learn it doesn't run in my resolution..

Can we please get netbook support?

The patch coming in a week or less MAY fix it for us. We'll have to wait and see, though. :/

I am not holding my breath but I am tentatively hopeful it will help somewhat :D

I got the GOG.com version of the game and since non-Steam users don't get a chance to peek at the beta patch, I haven't tried this out on my netbook.

While I do understand that GOG and Steam have their own patching systems, it would still be nice for the GOG side to be able to at least download at their own risk the beta patch. Surely, the feedback would be of some use, no?

Steam is just so much better at letting them send out a test patch. Not really worth the added hassle anywhere else.
