yes to run the program that modifies ftl but cfg is one I need to tell the program to accept .zip fileskartoFlane wrote:modman.cfg is the config file... You're supposed to double-click on the .exe or .jar.
did not know that thanks for the helpjep wrote:You don't need to "run" modman.cfg. Modman.exe automatically opens the file and reads it when it runs. If you mean you need the EDIT the modman.cfg, then just run a very simple text editor.
You know you can change the configuration settings (like treating zip files as ftl) by running modman.exe and clicking on File then Preferences?
I read the readme_for_windows.txt and it said nothing about this error. tried deleting the resource.dat.bak and data.dat.bak but it just took a few more seconds to get the errorjep wrote:See the first post in this thread. Right under "Troubleshooting".

I am using windows 7 if that effects anything
Same instructions for you. Both of these are happening because only the administrator has rights to modify files in the program files folder. So follow those instructions and you'll be fine.callo1812 wrote:I am getting a error 'java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Program Files (x86)\FTL\resources\data.dat (Access is denied)'.
Java is also updated to the newest version any help?
