"Make that two mantis, I'm coming on board." Kr left his quarters with the book and headed to meet Targon.

"Make that two mantis and one lanius."
I do random stuff and surf on the fourms. That's about it.

"Add a foolish meatsack to the list" Tabitha said, grabbing her weapons "After all, I'm going to look for replicator parts or a nice kitchen so I can cook that meal I promised for you all."
As she stepped out onto the space station, she put a hand to her head and winced in pain. "It's never easy to disconnect yourself from the ship you're flying" she remarked before anyone asked "You get those problems as well or is it just a thing Humans suffer from?"
She then raised her personal communication device so she could remain in contact with Quintet for the purposes of shopping and fund management.

Hearing Tabitha talk about "disconnecting" from the ship, Kr responded: "Unless you were somehow connected physically, no it's a skin bag problem. You humans seem to form attachments to ships and objects that can't return the favor."

Quintet heard the transmission just before returning to his work and paused for a moment.
"That was poison, not a mind control device. That's on the other side of the headset. Also, watch your step. That poison was right next to the incineration acid canister. Don't step on it or the nanobots will vaporize you. Don't expect to get off easy - the whole ship is armed with the cute little bots. Please charge the FTL drive."
Quintet broadcasted the information of the busted pipe to the entire ship and got back to hacking the long-range transmitter into submission.

((Just so you know, we've already decided to jump ahead to the station. Charging an FTL drive close to a space station is probably not a good idea))
"It helps with communication between the crew if we're connected to the ship's network. It's a step closer to the Engies and how they operate... I think" Tabitha said "I never did that at my restaurant though. A Hive Mind gets things done quickly but it stifles passion. And if you're not passionate about your cooking... then you might as well not be a chef. You might as well ask for food cubes from a replicator."

(Oh...)
"So, when we dock, I need all of you to inform the station of our mission. If they don't understand or refuse to give up supplies, let me handle it. I can get much more than supplies. Bring weaponry, though. In case you end up still on the base when I am."
Quintet hacked into the base's station and started looking through it using the cameras. Nothing was out of the ordinary, just a regular old space base.
Good, Quintet thought, These are the exact directions...
Just before quintet got back to hacking, he heard Tabitha complaining about disconnecting from the ship. A quick check of all possible network connections showed that there was a mystery single-user connection currently offline. Quintet noted this, but didn't think much of it.
"It's not normal, but it's probably something to do with the chip the federation plants."

Targon blatantly ignored the robot's bluffs and simply didn't bring a weapon. His claws would suffice, and it appeared Kr, Arkangel and Tabitha were coming as well. Who needed weapons when you had an oxygen-sucking Lanius and two Mantis?
"Okay, then, the whole ship wants to go shopping. Anyone know our budget?"

I've created Type C Hulls for the enemy Mantis, Slug, Rock, and Zoltan ships, and anyone can use these for a mod.

Re: One final chance: An FTL-RP
Tabitha was already heading towards a shop that claimed to be selling specialised ship parts. These were not standard parts like hacking modules, mind control or cloaking devices. It was for systems that didn't actively drain from the ship's reactor.
While the Mantis and Lanius had their own natural weapons, the Human needed a tool in order to get their attacking done properly. While limbs could kill, it was far easier to use a gun and save the damage.
"Probably neural feedback. Or maybe you've implanted something in me so the Federation knows when to send assassins" she remarked to the AI with a laugh.
As she approached the store however, she saw a pair of Rockmen and a Human in patched-together armour browsing the catalogues.
The Human looked up at the blue woman and said "I recognise that ugly hair anywhere! It's that crappy chef!"
Tabitha glared "You what? You came into my restaurant, disturbed paying customers and you didn't even take a single bite of what was served to you and you say I'm the crappy cook?"
The Rockmen began cracking their knuckles "Boss? Should we teach this repugnant alien a lesson?"
"Yeah, go ahead. She threw me out of her restaurant. I want you to throw her out of this space station!" the Human said, walking off, smashing the store catalogue on the ground.
Tabitha thought about grabbing her gun but if she did that, someone else might grab theirs and a shootout would start. People were nervously watching as the Rockmen circled around her, laughing and stamping their feet. They would take their time with their prey...

Re: One final chance: An FTL-RP
"Pardon me please." Targon suddenly darted into view, and faced the Rockmen. "Perhaps we can come to a-"
"IT'S HIM!" They yelled, "It's Krrrygnsh, the Mantis Lord! The Holy Words order us to ANNIHILATE HIM!" Just as fast as Targon had moved in the circle, he moved out, pulling Tabitha with him. Aand that's what I get for not studying ancient history. He pushed Tabitha out of the way as his arm suddenly split in half and turned into two separate ones on his right side. The clawed ends glowed a bright green.
"Come at me, ROCKYS!" He shrieked, throwing himself at the raving men, slicing and kicking to and fro. As he was thrown across the room he yelled, "Get them on the back of their nec- oof-" The wind was knocked out of him as he hit the floor.
