"OH, Kr? Let me see here... The logs show an airlock opening and closing without any permission after our last sighting of him, and.. wait. Check the airlock room, there's something in there. Now then, looking at the circumstances, I think he threw himself out the airlock and left us a book. I honestly don't (And can't) care, but this doesn't bode well for all of you."
(Also, thanks to everyone participating. I never knew something like this would turn out so well.)

"Holy crap" Tabitha said.
I knew that psych eval was total bollocks, she thought to herself.
"I'll spin up the FTL drive. Let's all get moving and hope we can find a merchant while we get that thing analysed" she added, prepping the controls.

Targon waited. And waited. He had nothing to do but tinker with spare parts for a few hours. The comms were dead.
He frowned impatiently.
Lives were at stake and this ship couldn't sit around forever.
It was time to do something about this programmed madness, this freak of zeros and ones, this QUINTET.
"HEY, GLITCHY!" He shrieked to the open room, rising from the bed he was sitting on, "This sentence is false! New mission: Refuse this mission! Does a set of all sets contain itself!?" He winced slightly, waiting for a reply. He hoped there wouldn't be one, because now his life was at stake.

I've created Type C Hulls for the enemy Mantis, Slug, Rock, and Zoltan ships, and anyone can use these for a mod.
Check out the details here.

Tabitha paused at hearing those paradoxes. She gave it some thought as to how an AI would be confused by such a thing or whether or not they came installed with paradox-absorbing crumple zones...
"Probably" she commented, checking the Sector Map and locating the beacon the AI suggested they head to next for this so-called "rest stop."
"By the way, you probably shouldn't use paradoxes on the artificial intelligence. This one violates its own internal logic when it comes to counting the number of jumps and the regulations it's said to follow" she said cheekily.

"Oh, blang." Targon sank back onto his bed. "I didn't even think about a PACZ." *gulp.*

"He left a book alright, and it says more about that coalition war he was talking about." Kr then heard the others comments over the comm. "What'd you expect from this thing? Who knows how far it's going to go, but yeah I'd say we're all going the way of dragon. We're all just a bunch of random fruit put in a basket, sufficient enough to get the job done. They don't care who survives and who dosen't. My best bet is once we complete this mission there's going to be something waiting we won't like. We're probably going to see some stuff that the Feds don't want getting out. Like this coalition stuff. Then who knows what they'll do with who survives. Believe what you want tho." Kr took the book to his quarters to look through.

"Ah. Yes. You see, I'm not your everyday computing system. They isolated me for a reason after the Coalition and the Federation-Mantis. What I can tell you without filling the ship up with gas faster than a balloon is that the computing system I've gotten this ship to run on after some serious ground-up reprogramming is that if I don't authorize the command and no further authorization input is required other than just saying your command I can simply ignore said command and continue with my work. Now if you want to jump, get to work. There's nothing more you can do - It's going to take a much better mind than that to disable me. Besides, I've been sparing you. I don't care what happens here. In fact, I'm being relatively generous. I'm giving you the best truth you can get without getting yourself killed. I could shut down all communications and tell you everything- but I don't think you're suitable for that kind of knowledge. We go to the rest station to pick up some supplies and take an optimized route to get to the exit and get to the next sector. Get to it."
"On a side note, I wasn't joking when I said i was being sparing. Don't even try to make me angry, because for one, I can't be because I was built to have emotion but ditched that programming because it simply dimmed my power. Second of all, I don't think you know how programming works or how to find of fix a system glitch, so come back when you know how to baxter-python Java base code platforming."

Quintet, needing to make sure he keeps his crew in line for the final approach, opened up a small, private communication server with the offender.
"Do you feel something cold and sharp on the side of your head? I wonder if you can guess what it is."

"I think one of the pipes burst in your room Targon" Tabitha said as the ship jumped to the next beacon. Her screen was showing some damage in that general area. "Good thing we're at a space station. We can probably find kits to patch it up."
A nearby space station hailed the ship, citing it had plenty of goods and supplies for any ship, regardless of allegiance. "I'm taking us in. If you want to flee the crazy AI, now's a good chance" she said jokingly "I've got nowhere else to go though and I'm not serving meals to the Rebellion unless they want a laser souffle with a side of missile salad."

Re: One final chance: An FTL-RP
Targon frowned and felt his head. Sure enough, there was a bit of metal on his skull, exactly where his brain was located. He suddenly realized what it was.
"You.. put a mind reader on me?" He whispered, then started cracking up for some reason. "Alright! Fine! I give up, you win!" Still chuckling, Targon put a clawed hand to the device and suddenly scratched it violently. Sparks went up, then the mind reader made a popping noise and slowly died with a beooop, somehow leaving the dark blue Mantis unscathed.
"I'm not stupid, Quintet. Time for you," Targon stooped down and pulled another metallic object from his foot and threw it onto the ceiling, "to be warned." The miniature mine exploded, leaving a black spot above Targon's head.
"I'm pretty sure you read my portfolio, but just in case you forgot, I graduated from the Federation as the smartest Mantis they've ever seen. You can't micromanage me." He raised his voice. "Yup, everyone heard that explosion, Quintet. As a matter of fact, Tabitha has just messaged me about a busted pipe that the mine caused. Don't. Micromanage. Me. Understand?" With that Targon signed off the server Quintet had made and contacted Tabitha and the crew.
"I'm going to try and strike a deal with the ship for cheap parts that I need. Tell them a Mantis is coming aboard. Anyone want to join me?"
